Abstract: A pipe vibration reducer is provided by one or more resilient cantilever bar members each secured at its inner end to a clamp assembly mounted on a pipe and extending laterally from a vertical plane through the pipe. The outer end of the cantilever bar member mounts a pipe vibration dynamic mass. In one embodiment each of a pair of cantilever bar members mounts a dynamic mass of the same of different weight. In another embodiment a single dynamic mass extends between and is secured to a pair of cantilever bar members. In still another embodiment a pair of cantilever bar members is secured to a clamp assembly for pivotal adjustment to various positions laterally of a vertical plane through a pipe to which the clamp assembly is mounted.

Abstract: A speed reducer construction for use with a drive motor which has a drive motor housing and a drive motor shaft which extends out of the housing comprises a reducer housing which is adapted to be coupled to the drive motor housing and encloses a portion of the motor drive shaft. The motor drive shaft is advantageously journalled in the reducer housing and it carries a worm made of a Nylatron material which is rotatable therewith. An output shaft extends transversely to the drive shaft and is journalled in the reducer housing and it carries a sleeve which is keyed thereto for rotation therewith. A gear is freely rotatable on the sleeve alongside a collar portion of the sleeve and is in meshing engagement with the worm. The drive of the motor through the worm to the gear and the output shaft is regulatable by a clutching device including a clutch spring which is biased against an end of the gear with a biasing force which is regulated by a torque adjusting wheel which is threaded on the sleeve. The arrangement permits some slippage between the drive gear and the drive shaft during overload. The worm shaft is adjustable relative to the gear by means of an adjusting knob which may be fitted into an opening in the reducer housing so as to become engaged with the motor drive shaft.

Abstract: A plastic pipe element comprises an inner one-piece liner of thermoplastic material. The liner is formed so as to include at least one cylindrical leg having a free outer end and inner end disposed intermediate opposite ends of the liner. At least one pipe section is formed comprising an inner thermoplastic lining and a fiber reinforced outer layer. That pipe section is bonded to an outer surface of the cylindrical leg such that an inner end edge of the pipe section overlies the liner. A sheet of fiber reinforced thermosetting resin molding compound is applied externally around the inner end edge of the pipe section and is subjected to pressure and heat to form the sheet into a desired shape. Thereafter, the sheet is allowed to harden. Elements formed in this manner include a T-fitting, a pipe flange, a 90° fitting, a reducer fitting, a 45° fitting, and a pipe cap.

Abstract: A spiral gas stream is generated in a pipeline when a uniform flow of gas flowing in a cylinder having inner diameter larger than that of the pipeline is introduced through a funnelform reducer into the inlet of the pipeline and bringing the mean gas stream velocity in the pipeline faster than 20 meter per second. The uniform flow of gas is formed in the cylinder easily when outside low pressure gas is fed into the cylinder through a feed gas inlet pipe installed diagonally at the side of the cylinder apart from the bottom plate so as to make the flow line of the feed gas to cross the axis of the cylinder and inclined toward the bottom plate. When solid particles are introduced into the spiral gas stream zone, they are transported to the outlet of the pipeline. As the compressed gas layer is formed along the inside wall of the pipeline by the spiral motion of gas stream, solid particles don't contact directly with the inside wall of the pipeline and don't hurt it. As the center part of the cross section of the pipeline becomes very low pressure, especially along the axis of the pipeline, solid particles containing or accompanying volatile matters are desiccated or concentrated as a result of the evaporation of volatile matters while being transported in the pipeline. Solid particles deposited on the bottom of water can be dredged and dehydrated by the spiral gas stream transportation system. When solid particles transported by spiral gas stream in two or more pipelines are arranged to collide with mutually, pulverized fine solid particles are recovered. A chemical reaction which can not or hardly to proceed at normal temperature and pressure is promoted in a spiral gas stream zone.

Abstract: Uniform flow of gas flowing in a cylinder having inner diameter larger than that of a pipeline is introduced through a funnelform reducer into the inlet of the pipeline, where uniform flow of gas turned to a spiral gas stream by bringing to the mean gas stream velocity faster than 20 meter per second there. When solid particles are introduced into the spiral gas strem zone, they are transported to the outlet of the pipeline. A compressed gas layer is formed along the inside wall of the pipeline by the spiral motion of gas stream, and the layer prevents the direct contact of the solid particles to the inside wall of the pipeline which causes the erosion of the pipeline. As the center part of the cross section of the pipeline becomes very low pressure, especially along the axis of the pipeline, solid particles containing or accompanying volatile matters are desiccated or concentrated as a result of the evaporation of volatile matters while being transported in the pipeline. When grinding powder (abrasive) is transported by the spiral gas stream and spattered on an object, the surface of the object is ground without consumption of much energy.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve press performance by using a constant speed main motor of a large size and a variable speed auxiliary motor of a small size, and using a planetary gear device for a speed reducer thereby making the speed freely variable and decreasing the change in releasing energy. CONSTITUTION:A main revolving shaft 2 and an auxiliary revolving shaft 3 are supported on the same axial line in a frame 1 of a press. A main flywheel 4 is provided around the shaft 2, and is connected, via a V-belt 6, to the output shaft of a main motor 7 for driving. An auxiliary flywheel 5 is provided around the shaft 3 and is connected, via a V-belt 8, to an auxiliary motor 9 for driving. A planetary gear device is provided on the inside of the wheel 4 and a sun gear 11 and an internal gear 10 are rotated and driven by means of the motor 9 and the motor 7. The revolution of the shaft 14 of a planetary gear 12 interposed between the gear 11 and the gear 10 is transmitted, via a pinion 17 and a gear 19, to a crank shaft 18.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the yield, machining accuracy and strength, by turning, gear cutting, carburizing and annealing the metal plate after stamping. CONSTITUTION:A cup-shaped primary machined body 20 of a flexible gear which is formed by deep drawing of a metal plate using a press is joined with a separated body of boss 24. Then, it is machined into a required thickness except the part of the gear teeth, and is gear-cut to form required teeth 26. In the following heat treatment, it is carburized and annealed at a high temperature of 400- 500 deg.C. According to this machining method, yield of the material, machining efficiency and accuracy and impact resistant strength can be improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain simply and surely the control of high accuracy by providing the 1st rack member driving a loading mechanism, the 2nd rack member supported freely slidably to the 1st rack member and a notch part in response to the root of gear at the emshing start position of the 2nd rack member so as to prevent the 1st and 2nd transmission gear system from being locked. CONSTITUTION:The notch part 397 preventing locking due to meshing is formed to the vicinity of the root of gear of the 1st tooth part 393 from the root to a prescribed position. Further, the over-cut tooth part 398 preventing locking due to meshing is formed, where the tooth tip of, e.g., two teeth from the root is cut in an acute angle as shown in hatched lines in the 1st tooth part 393. Since the 1st tooth part 393 of a moving rack 39 is prevented from being locked because of simultaneous meshing of the 3rd and 5th reducer gears 25, 27 by means of the elasticity of the nothc part 397, overload to a motor 21 is prevented. The overload due to simultaneous meshing by delivering the torque of the motor 21 from the 3rd reducer gear 25 and a fixed rack 38 to the tooth part 393 of the moving rack 39 and the reducer gear 27 is prevented and smoother operation is attained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To have an oil-hydraulic motor with high speed operation by furnishing a fixing member, mounted on the shaft case on its speed reducer side, with a small dia. bearing, which supports the speed reducer side of the oil-hydraulic motor output shaft, and a cylinder device, which changes the tilting angle of a variable capacity type oil-hydraulic motor to the diametric direction of said small dia. bearing, and thereby making the motor with variable capacity. CONSTITUTION:A semi-circular groove 40 to support and guides a pair of parallelly stretching semi-circular ridges 39 on a slant plate 37 is formed in a fixing member, for ex. carrier fixing plate 30, mounted on the shaft case 1 on its speed reducer side 7, and a needle bearing 41 and a ball bearing 42, having the same major dia., are installed at the supporting part of the motor output shaft on speed reducer side. In the diametric direction of these bearings, a pair of cylinder devices 45, 46 are installed in such a position as facing a spherical surface bearings 43, 44 formed in the upper and lower parts of the symmetric axis of said semi-circular ridges 39 in slant plate 37. Thereby a variable capacity oil- hydraulic motor with speed reducer device is accomplished in an outside diameter approx. equal to that of any conventional fixed capacity oil-hydraulic motor with speed reducer device.

Abstract: The control device comprises an electric motor reducer (2) acting on the stop (16) of a clutch (1), a four-transistor switching member (3) capable of applying the battery voltage (30) in one direction or the other to the motor (20) of the motor reducer (2) when the output of the gates "AND" (41 or 42) is 1. This occurs, the limit switch contacts (28 and 29) being closed, when the positive pulses appear at the output (42c) of the microprocessor (40), and whether the output (40d) is "0" or "1". The microprocessor sends predetermined duration pulses at its output (40c) with a recurrence frequency which is a direct function of the frequency emitted by the sensor (50) which is responsive to the rotation speed of the motor in excess of a threshold higher than the idling speed, in the clutching phase, and which is such that in the declutching phase the pulses are adjacent. The clutching and declutching phases are determined by the output state (40b) of the microprocessor, a logic chain (51) coupled to vehicle driving members being provided to generate a declutching order.

CONSTITUTION:Wheel holes 2 are provided at four corners of a carriage A and the support balls 8, 9, 10 of the spherical wheels 11 mounted in ball rests 5, 6, 7 provided on the side faces and the top support the wheels 11. X rolls 18 and Y rolls 19 are circumscribed about the wheels 11, and X pulse motos 20 and Y pulse motors 22 are connected with speed reducers 21, 23 to X roll shafts 15 and Y roll shafts 17. The revolutions of the motors 20 are transmitted with the reducer 21, the shafts 15 and the rolls 18 to the four wheels 11 to rotate the wheels at the axis of rotation in the Y direction. Similarly the revolutions of the motors 22 rotate the wheels 11 at the axis of rotation in the X direction. The carriage A is moved freely in all directions in fine loci with the four wheels 11 by the simultaneous revolutions of both motors.

When the circulation of the drilling fluid containing the seepage loss reducer takes place, the seepage loss reducer reacts with the monovalent and polyvalent cations contained in the formation to form a seal in the formation adjacent to the well bore.

CONSTITUTION:Disks 6, 7 are freely rotatably provided to yokes 4, 5 which are projecting from a base 3 of a vertical roll chock 2 used for rolling H-shapes, and plural rolls B are freely rotatably supported by the bearings located at the positions which are arranged radially around a rotating axis 0-0. In this state, the engagements between the yokes 4, 5 and the disks 6, 7 are released by rotating stoppers 17 with the aid of a driving fluid supplied from the base 3 side, and the stopper 17 are engaged with grooves 19 respectively after rotating a roll B2 to the position of a roll B1 by rotating a reducer 14 and a worm 15 with the aid of a motor 11, and circular rings 32 for absorbing plays are radially deformed by compression with the aid of the fluid to fix the disks 6, 7. In this way, the rolls can be exchanged in an on-line state by remote control.

CONSTITUTION:In a seamless steel pipe piercing installation for piercing a hollow blank pipe 2 with the advance of a solid blank material 1 by pressing the rear end face of the material 1 by a pusher 3 attached to the mill 4 side and supporting a plug bar 6, having a plug 5 fixed to its front end opposing to said rear end face, by a part held by a rack bar 10, through ratchets 8, to a strut 7 of a plug bar holding device fixed to the mill 4; plural holding rolls 11 mounted on a frame 19 attached to the strut 7 are positioned by driving a motor 25 through a reducer 26 and a shaft 18 to pinch hold the plug bar 6 from the opposing directions. Further, the bar 6 is pinch held from the radial directions by mounting the same holding rolls as above-mentioned on a frame 23 to enhance the rigidity of the bar 6 in the directions other than the vertical one.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable independent operation of a transfer press isolatedly from the operation of a press by specifying the connection between the revolving shaft of the press and a device for moving back and forth the feed bar of a transfer as well as a device for holding, releasing and lifting the same. CONSTITUTION:A pin 33 is engaged with the recess of a cam holder 25 and clutches 7, 10 are engaged and disengaged in the stage of ordinary operation of a press 1. The gear ratio of each gear in the power transmission path for the rotation of a main gear 3 on a revolving shaft 2 is adjusted and therefore a gear 22 for driving the holder 25 rotates synchronously with a gear 3 and a slide 26 and the holder 25 move upward and downward integrally. A device 30 for holding, releasing and lifting which is driven, via a lever 28 and a vertical rod 29, by a cam 27 is synchronized with the rotation of the gear 3 and a device 15 for forward and backward movement is synchronized therewith as well. The operation of only the feed bar is accomplished by engaging and disengaging the clutches 7, 10 to disengage the pin 33 and starting a brake motor 11 provided with a speed reducer. Then the device 15 and the device 30 driven by the dam 27 moving upward or downward by the eccentric pin 23 of the gear 22 are operated synchronously and the prescribed movement is given to the feed bar.

CONSTITUTION:In a plant which lets steam generated in a boiler 1 pass from a main stop valve 3 successively through a high pressure turbine 4, reheater 7, reheat check valve 9, medium, low pressure turbine 10 so as to make work and drive a generator 11, a high pressure bypass valve 12 is opened at starting time and the steam bypasses to a low temperature reheat pipe 6 through a temperature reducer 13. The second bypass duct C, making the steam in a main steam pipe 2 to bypass the abovementioned reheater 7 and dump in a condenser 16, is provided and a flow rate control valve 17 and a temperature reducer 18 are interposed in the duct C. At a starting time, the residue of steam generated in the boiler 1 is dumped in a condenser 16 through the second bypass conduit C.
