TL;DR: In this paper, a process for production of the aluminum pipe for the electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises axially feeding the pipe to surface grinding not to impart regularly to the twoill shapes of the rugged parts of the grooves and inter-groove intervals.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the process for production of the aluminum pipe for the electrophotographic photoreceptor with which a good ground surface is obtainable and productivity is good by removing the burrs of an aluminum metal generated heretofore by machining. CONSTITUTION:This process for production of the aluminum pipe for the electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises axially feeding the aluminum pipe 3 of <=10mum surface roughness finished to a prescribed size and shape by drawing after hot extruding between a rotating grinding wheel 1 and a feed roller 2 rotating in the same direction as the rotating direction of this rotating grinding wheel 1 to form grooves in a circumferential direction, subjecting the aluminum pipe to surface grinding not to impart regularly to the twill shapes of the rugged parts of the grooves and inter-groove intervals to finish the pipe to a <=5.0mum Rz surface roughness range, and further, subjecting the aluminum pipe to rolling by many pieces of roller burnishing devices to roll only the projecting parts among the twill shapes of the rugged parts consisting of the irregular grooves subjected to the grinding treatment, thereby subjecting the pipe to a surface treatment to <=1.0, more preferably 0.2 to 0.8mum Rz surface roughness.

TL;DR: In this paper, the work is repeated plural times in a series of works during roller burnishing and the work becomes effective especially when the work was applied to an aluminium or aluminium alloy bar material and a tube material.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently finish outer surfaces of a metal bar material and a tube material in which high straightness, circularity, size accuracy and surface accuracy are required. CONSTITUTION:Roller groups 3 which are burnishing tools of a roller burnishing device for providing finishing work of the outer surface of a work piece 1 (a metal bar material or a tube material) are mounted in a plurality of steps. At that time, it is preferred to make depressure amount adjusted for each roller group. Roller burnishing work is repeated plural times in a series of the works during roller burnishing. This work becomes effective especially when the work is applied to an aluminium or aluminium alloy bar material and a tube material.
