Abstract: This chapter concludes the introduction of AutoCAD basics by discussing the concept of grips, units, scale, snap, and grid. The Cartesian coordinate system is reviewed, followed by a discussion of various geometric data entry techniques including dynamic and manual input. Then, the chapter covers Inquiry commands (quick, area, distance, list, ID, radius, and angle), followed by additional drafting commands and concepts (explode, polygon, ellipse, chamfer, templates, limits, and save). The chapter concludes with a discussion of the Help files, the Tangent OSNAP and a drawing challenge.
