TL;DR: In this paper, an air spring suspension system is mounted outwardly of the frame rails and the frame rail include a reinforced notch to provide the required structural clearance for the rear axle to compensate for the low-to-the-ground frame rail positioning.
Abstract: A frame and suspension assembly is capable of a low frame rail orientation and enhanced on-road stability when incorporated in a motor vehicle An air spring suspension system is mounted outwardly of the frame rails and the frame rails include a reinforced notch to provide the required structural clearance for the rear axle to compensate for the low-to-the-ground frame rail positioning An anti-sway bar which spans the distance between the two sides of the frame is also included for further stabilization

TL;DR: In this paper, a vehicle for manipulating large diameter pipe includes a vehicle frame assembly which supports an auxiliary pipelayer frame, which supports various components for manipulating the pipe, including a boom arm and a fluid cylinder.
Abstract: A vehicle for manipulating large diameter pipe includes a vehicle frame assembly which supports an auxiliary pipelayer frame. The pipelayer frame supports various components for manipulating the pipe, including a boom arm and a fluid cylinder for raising and lowering the boom arm. During transportation of the vehicle, certain components must be removed from the vehicle to make the vehicle conform to width and height restrictions. Normally, the boom arm and the fluid cylinder would be removed. The subject invention provides for storage of the fluid cylinder on the vehicle during transportation, without the necessity to disconnect fluid lines. Considerable time and effort is saved during dis-assembly and re-assembly of the vehicle components.

TL;DR: In this article, a multi-axle vehicle frame with a driver's cab, engine and transmission and steerable wheels and a loading platform is presented for the transportation of tanks or construction-machinery track-laying or wheeled vehicles.
Abstract: A heavy transportation vehicle, in particular for the transportation of tanks or construction-machinery track-laying or wheeled vehicles, comprises a multi-axle vehicle frame with a driver's cab, engine and transmission and steerable wheels and a loading platform. So that a vehicle of this kind has low clearance levels even in the loaded condition, there is provided at least one front and at least one rear axle, the wheels of which have larger track widths than the wheels of at least one central axle arranged therebetween.

TL;DR: In this article, a self-discharging single-axle transporting coupled truck with a U-shaped clamp is described, and the corresponding traction draw rod of the front end of the vehicle frame is provided with a locking absolving mechanism.
Abstract: The utility model relates to a mechanical self-discharging single-axle transporting coupled truck, comprising a vehicle frame, a carriage which is arranged on the vehicle frame, a support vehicle frame, an axletree, vehicle wheels, and a spring steel sheet which is fixed to the upper part of the axletree with a U-shaped clamp. One end is hinged with the upper part of the vehicle frame, and the other end has a traction draw rod which can be hinged with the tractor. The corresponding traction draw rod of the front end of the vehicle frame is provided with a locking absolving mechanism. The utility model can freely dump, the self-discharging rate can reach 100%, saving the labor and the time when unloading.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose to reduce the width of a handling vehicle to be stable for load due to heavy load by connecting a structure having a handling device moved at right angles to a vehicle to the main body of the vehicle.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce the width of a handling vehicle to be stable for load due to a heavy load by connecting a structure having a handling device moved at right angles to a vehicle to the main body of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: In a handling vehicle having a four-sided steering system for operating and transporting a large printed material roll 8 in a printing field, a structure 1 having handling devices 3, 4 moved at right angles to the vehicle is firmly connected to the vehicle frame or the vehicle body. Further, the vehicle frame has a longitudinal frame part and two lateral legs 5 to substantially present a U-shaped layout, and the structure 1 is connected to the longitudinal frame part.

TL;DR: In this paper, the length of axles of a carrier vehicle is adjusted by means of adjusting axles so that their lengths may be adjusted, and a drive gear 42 is fitted on the adjusting axle 21 n one of the axles 19.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to enhance the utility by enabling the lengths of axles of a carrier vehicle which unloadably carries a working vehicle and can run on a trackway to be changed, and by enabling a drive device and a brake device in the carrier vehicle to be driven with the use of a hydraulic unit in a vehicle mounted on the carrier vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A carrier vehicle frame F of a carrier vehicle 2 which carries thereon a working vehicle and is adapted to run on a trackway is composed of right and left wheel receiving beds 17 for receiving right and left wheels of the front and rear sections of the working vehicle. Further, axles 19 arranged at the front and rear of the carrier vehicle are split into right and left parts which are connected through the intermediary of adjusting axles 21 so that their lengths may be adjusted. Further, a drive gear 42 is fitted on the adjusting axle 21 n one of the axles 19, to which power from a hydraulic motor 40 can be transmitted for driving the axle. A brake drum 51 is fitted on the adjustable axle 21 in the other one of the axles 19 so that braking force may be produced by the operation of a hydraulic cylinder 45 so as to form a brake mechanism. The hydraulic motor 40 and the hydraulic cylinder 45 are connected through pipe lines to a hydraulic unit on the working vehicle.
