Abstract: An extendable vehicle bumper for external transportation and storage of objects. A horizontal platform is mounted to the underside of a vehicle frame and is attached at one end to the vehicle bumper. The platform is extendable on a horizontal plane between an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the platform is supported in a horizontal plane within the vehicle framework on the underside of the rear end of the vehicle. The vehicle bumper serves to access the platform by providing a handle for extending the platform outwardly from the vehicle frame. When the platform is in the open position, the platform extends beyond the vehicle profile and is generally in rigid relation with the vehicle. The horizontal platform is extendable between the open and closed position by support arms fixed to the platform opposite the vehicle bumper.

Abstract: A step includes a support member extending from a vehicle frame. A first wire rod frame extends from the distal end of the support member to the vehicle frame. A second wire rod frame suspends the first frame from the vehicle frame. Furthermore, a foot board is disposed over the first frame and the support member. The step structure is of high flexibility. The step is capable of flexibly handling loads applied from the ground, and is prevented from being plastically deformed by loads applied from the ground. The first and second frames are made of wire rods. Accordingly, the step structure is made lightweight. As a consequence, the vehicle is made lightweight.

The second design is derived from the first design by replacing elongated members of the first design with differently-dimensioned elongated members, or by changing the quantity of elongated members, to result in a second structural frame configuration different from the first structural frame configuration.

A passenger cabin is releasably attached to the vehicle frame. A pair of floatation pontoons is releasably attached to the passenger cabin. The vehicle frame is convertible between a cabin receiving configuration and a load receiving configuration. The vehicle can be used to carry additional passengers or load while being attached to conventional vehicles such as conventional ATV vehicles. The trailer can be specifically designed so as to be able to follow the often rugged off-road terrain on which some vehicles such as ATV vehicles are commonly used. The passenger cabin can be readily converted into a water craft through a set a quick and ergonomical steps. The vehicle may also be used on a gliding surface such as snow and converted into a gliding vehicle.

The frame structure has left and right track frames, and front and rear cross beams for coupling the left and right track frames in a shape of a lattice. A vehicle body frame is disposed between inner sides of the left and right track frames and coupled thereto in the shape of a lattice above the front and rear cross beams and the left and right track frames. The front and rear cross beams and the vehicle body frames are integrally constituted.

The suspension components mounted within the frame may be mechanical springs or fluid springs. Moreover, various types of controls can be incorporated into this structure.

The systems are packaged substantially within a substantially flat vehicle frame to provide a substantially flat chassis. The flatness of the chassis increases available passenger space in any attached vehicle body and facilitates compatibility between the chassis and bodies of varying configurations.

Abstract: In this paper a method to add elastic effects to the classic ‘bicycle model’ for the simulation of the dynamic behaviour of vehicles is presented. The obtained results show that, in the simulations, dynamic effects such as lateral acceleration are more severe when non-rigid models of the vehicle frame are used. This work demonstrates that the modified bicycle model is a useful instrument to predict the response of a vehicle. At present, much effort is dedicated to simulation with rigid body dynamic programs. The proposed method offers an easy way to evaluate the dynamic effects in models with flexible frames. The elasticity of the frame has an important impact on the directional response (yaw gain and lateral velocity) of the vehicles. This method is useful for analysis from the behaviour of vehicles with modifications made after their manufacture. Abstract: In this paper, the FEA model of the vehicle frame is established by taking plate unit as basic unit. The analysis of static, dynamic and random vibration is carried out by using the ALGOR FEAS. The result of calculation is contrasted with that of the experiment. The calculation result is verified by the experiment. The reasons for vehicle frame fatigue crack appearing in early stage are found out. The results of FEA and the experiment agree with that of the vehicle frame abnormal rupture in practice. The ways for the reconstruction of the vehicle frame structure are presented.

Abstract: An accumulator is provided for a vehicle air system including a vehicle frame. A wheel end is spaced from the frame for supporting the vehicle frame on a roadway. A suspension assembly includes a suspension structure. The suspension structure may be a portion of an axle, a stabilizer bar, a control arm, or other suspension components. The suspension structure is interposed between the frame and the wheel end and is movable relative to the vehicle frame in response to the wheel end receiving inputs from the roadway. A fluid chamber forms the accumulator and is defined by a portion of the suspension structure for storing pressurized air. Preferably a valve is disposed within the fluid chamber to protect the valve from the environment. For light vehicle applications where a conventional air pump may be cost prohibitive, a mechanical pump may be connected between the vehicle frame and the suspension assembly. The mechanical pump provides pressurized air to the fluid chamber in response to relative movement between the suspension assembly and the vehicle frame as the vehicle travels along the roadway.

Advantages: A fuel tank, electric parts, or other parts, for example, can be clustered between the left and right brackets (13) near the center of gravity of the vehicle body, and those parts can be disposed near the center of gravity of the vehicle body. Therefore, the maneuvering capability of racing and off-road vehicles incorporating such an arrangement can be increased. The vehicle frame can be simplified in structure and can be manufactured at a reduced cost. When the vehicle is assembled, the distance that the worker needs to move can be reduced, and hence the productivity of the vehicle is increased. The size of the vehicle is reduced because of the clustered arrangement of the parts.

The supporting plate has an assembling part(7) combined with a vehicle body frame. The foaming material is fixed in the supporting plate, and inserted between the frames of the vehicle. The supporting plate is fixed by the assembling part, and the foaming material is foamed by using heat during painting the vehicle. The frame is shut off with the foaming material and the supporting plate, and noise is prevented during traveling.

The technical proposal adopted is that a sliding rheostat is fixed near a shock absorber, so the distance between a vehicle frame and a vehicle axle is reduced, the electric resistance is reduced, the electric current is increased and the load can be indicated via an ampere meter. A self-weighing device for the vehicle load is arranged at every shock-absorption fulcrum of the vehicle. Then the vehicle load can be concluded by adding the values of all self-weighing devices for the vehicle load, and whether the load is balanced can also be known based on the value difference. The advantage of the utility model is that the utility model is simple in the structure, convenient for installation and low in the manufacture cost.
