TL;DR: The current intake of TFA in most Western European countries does not appear to be a reason for major concern, but it would therefore be prudent to reduce intake of all cholesterol-raising fatty acids, TFA included.

Trans fatty acids in French fries, soups, and snacks from 14 European countries: The TRANSFAIR study
TL;DR: In the TRANSFAIR study as mentioned in this paper, foods contributing to 95% of total fat intake were collected in 14 European countries and some specific food items with relatively high amounts of transfatty acids were found.
