Journal ArticleDOI
CT Radiomics Signature of Tumor and Peritumoral Lung Parenchyma to Predict Nonsmall Cell Lung Cancer Postsurgical Recurrence Risk.
Tugba Akinci D'Antonoli,Alessandra Farchione,Jacopo Lenkowicz,Marco Chiappetta,Giuseppe Cicchetti,A. Martino,Alessandra Ottavianelli,Riccardo Manfredi,Stefano Margaritora,Lorenzo Bonomo,Vincenzo Valentini,Anna Rita Larici +11 more
TL;DR: Combination of the tumoral and peritumoral RS with TNM staging system outperformedTNM staging alone in individualized recurrence risk estimation of patients with surgically treated NSCLC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Predicting Radiotherapy Impact on Late Bladder Toxicity in Prostate Cancer Patients: An Observational Study.
F. Catucci,Anna Rita Alitto,Carlotta Masciocchi,Nicola Dinapoli,Roberto Gatta,A. Martino,C. Mazzarella,Bruno Fionda,Vincenzo Frascino,Antonio Piras,Andrea D'Aviero,Francesco Preziosi,Giovanni Palazzoni,Vincenzo Valentini,Giovanna Mantini +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a suitable model on bladder late toxicity in prostate cancer (PC) patients treated by radiotherapy with volumetric technique was elaborated. But the model performance was estimated by taking 1000 samples with replacement from the original dataset and calculating the AUC average, and the calibration plot (Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test) was used to evaluate the performance of internal validation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reducing heart dose during left breast cancer radiotherapy: comparison among 3 radiation techniques
Giuseppe D'Agostino,Barbara Diletto,Giovanna Mantini,Luigia Nardone,Gian Carlo Mattiucci,F. Catucci,R. Canna,A. Martino,Luigi Azario,Vincenzo Valentini +9 more
TL;DR: Prospective-gating RT to the left breast offered the best protection of heart and lung, as well as a lower irradiation of the contralateral breast, compared to CRT or IMRT.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical Stage III NSCLC Patients Treated with Neoadjuvant Therapy and Surgery: The Prognostic Role of Nodal Characteristics
Marco Chiappetta,Diomira Tabacco,Amedeo Iaffaldano,Jessica Evangelista,Maria Teresa Congedo,Carolina Sassorossi,Elisa Meacci,Ettore D'Argento,Emilio Bria,Emanuele Vita,Giampaolo Tortora,Luca Boldrini,Diepriye Charles-Davies,Mariangela Massaccesi,A. Martino,C. Mazzarella,Vincenzo Valentini,Stefano Margaritora,Filippo Lococo +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors analyzed the prognostic factors in patients that underwent induction therapy and surgery for clinical stage III NSCLC, and found that the lymph node ratio was a strong prognosticator in patients with persistent nodal involvement.
Journal ArticleDOI
Surgery after induction chemo or immunotherapy for locally advanced NSCLC
Filippo Lococo,Carolina Sassorossi,C. Mazzarella,Emanuele Vita,Fausto Leoncini,A. Martino,Dania Nachira,Marco Chiappetta,Alfredo Cesario,Rocco Trisolini,Emilio Bria,Stefano Margaritora +11 more
TL;DR: In stage IIIA and IIIB cancer patients, where surgery was the only treatment performed, relapse occurred in more than 80% of cases, locally in about 1/3 of patients, distantly or combined in about 2/ 3 of patients.
