Photonic crystals with plasmonic patterns: novel type of the heterostructures for enhanced magneto-optical activity
N. E. Khokhlov,A.R. Prokopov,Alexander N. Shaposhnikov,Vladimir N. Berzhansky,Mikhail A. Kozhaev,Stepan N Andreev,Ajith P. Ravishankar,Venu Gopal Achanta,Dmitry A. Bykov,Dmitry A. Bykov,A. K. Zvezdin,A. K. Zvezdin,Vladimir I. Belotelov,Vladimir I. Belotelov +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a multilayer structure consisting of a magnetophotonic crystal with a rare-earth iron garnet microresonator layer and plasmonic grating deposited on it was fabricated and studied in order to combine functionalities of photonic and PLASmonic crystals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Generation of spin waves by a train of fs-laser pulses: a novel approach for tuning magnon wavelength.
I. V. Savochkin,M. Jäckl,Vladimir I. Belotelov,I. A. Akimov,I. A. Akimov,Mikhail A. Kozhaev,D.A. Sylgacheva,Alexander I. Chernov,Alexander N. Shaposhnikov,A.R. Prokopov,Vladimir N. Berzhansky,Dmitri R. Yakovlev,Dmitri R. Yakovlev,A. K. Zvezdin,A. K. Zvezdin,Manfred Bayer,Manfred Bayer +16 more
TL;DR: This work expands the capabilities of the optical spin pump-probe technique and provides a new method for the spin wave generation and control by launching spin waves by a sequence of femtosecond laser pulses much shorter than the relaxation time of the magnetization oscillations.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: Magnetometry and visualization of very small magnetic fields are vital for a large variety of the areas ranging from magnetocardiography and encephalography to nondistractive defectoscopy and ultra...
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetoplasmonic quasicrystals: an approach for multiband magneto-optical response
Andrey N. Kalish,Roman S. Komarov,Mikhail A. Kozhaev,Venu Gopal Achanta,Sarkis A. Dagesyan,Alexander N. Shaposhnikov,A.R. Prokopov,Vladimir N. Berzhansky,A. K. Zvezdin,Vladimir I. Belotelov +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the transverse magneto-optical Kerr effect (TMOKE) acquires controllable multiple plasmon-related resonances, resulting in a magnetooptical response over a wide frequency range.
