Enhancement of Magnetic Resonance Imaging with Metasurfaces
Alexey P. Slobozhanyuk,Alexey P. Slobozhanyuk,Alexander N. Poddubny,Alexander N. Poddubny,Alexander J.E. Raaijmakers,Cornelis A. T. van den Berg,A. V. Kozachenko,Irina A. Dubrovina,Irina V. Melchakova,Yuri S. Kivshar,Yuri S. Kivshar,Pavel A. Belov +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the unique properties of ultrathin metasurface resonators can improve magnetic resonance imaging dramatically, and they were shown to improve image resolution by means of subwavelength manipulation with the surface, also allowing improved image resolution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Volumetric wireless coil based on periodically coupled split-loop resonators for clinical wrist imaging.
Alena V. Shchelokova,Cornelis A. T. van den Berg,Dmitry Dobrykh,Stanislav Glybovski,Mikhail Zubkov,Ekaterina A. Brui,Dmitry S. Dmitriev,A. V. Kozachenko,Alexander Efimtcev,Andrey Sokolov,Vladimir A. Fokin,Irina V. Melchakova,Pavel A. Belov +12 more
TL;DR: Design and characterization of a new inductively driven wireless coil for wrist imaging at 1.5 T with high homogeneity operating due to focusing the B1 field of a birdcage body coil.

Enhancement of magnetic resonance imaging with metasurfaces
Alexey P. Slobozhanyuk,Alexander N. Poddubny,A. Raaijmakers,C.A.T. Van den Berg,A. V. Kozachenko,Irina A. Dubrovina,Irina V. Melchakova,Yu. S. Kivshar,Pavel A. Belov +8 more
TL;DR: It is revealed that the unique properties of ultrathin metasurface resonators can improve magnetic resonance imaging dramatically and allow improved image resolution.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Capacitively-loaded metasurfaces and their application in magnetic resonance imaging
Stanislav Glybovski,Alena V. Shchelokova,A. V. Kozachenko,Alexey P. Slobozhanyuk,Irina V. Melchakova,Pavel A. Belov,Andrey Sokolov,A.Yu. Efimtsev,V.A. Fokin +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose new passive resonators based on metasurfaces with strongly miniaturized unit cells due to their capacitive loading, and discuss their possible applications in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Journal ArticleDOI
An endoscope based on extremely anisotropic metamaterials for applications in magnetic resonance imaging
Alexey P. Slobozhanyuk,Irina V. Melchakova,A. V. Kozachenko,Dmitry Filonov,Constantin Simovski,Constantin Simovski,Pavel A. Belov +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, an endoscope designed from an extremely anisotropic metamaterial is considered to transfer the spatial distribution of the near-zone RF magnetic field recorded by receiving coils during magnetic resonance imaging.
