Context-specific user interfaces for use with a portable multifunction device are disclosed. The methods described herein for context-specific user interfaces provide indications of time and, optionally, a variety of additional information. Further disclosed are non-transitory computer-readable storage media, systems, and devices configured to perform the methods described herein.

Techniques for a displaying user interfaces screens of a calendar application include displaying different screens based on an input modality. The calendar application may respond differently to inputs from a touch-sensitive screen, inputs from a rotatable input mechanism, inputs having higher intensities, inputs having lower intensities, and so forth.

A method and system for contextualizing and presenting user data. The method includes collecting information comprising service activity data and sensor data from one or more electronic devices. The information is organized based on associated time for the collected information. One or more of content information and service information of potential interest are provided to the one or more electronic devices based on one or more of user context and user activity.

Contextualizing sensor, service and device data with mobile devices

Apparatuses, methods and storage medium associated with creating an avatar video are disclosed herein. In embodiments, the apparatus may one or more facial expression engines, an animation-rendering engine, and a video generator. The one or more facial expression engines may be configured to receive video, voice and/or text inputs, and, in response, generate a plurality of animation messages having facial expression parameters that depict facial expressions for a plurality of avatars based at least in part on the video, voice and/or text inputs received. The animation-rendering engine may be configured to receive the one or more animation messages, and drive a plurality of avatar models, to animate and render the plurality of avatars with the facial expression depicted. The video generator may be configured to capture the animation and rendering of the plurality of avatars, to generate a video. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Facial expression based avatar rendering in video animation and method

A social networking system user may associate an emoji representing the user's emotional reaction with a content item presented by the social networking system. The user is presented with one or more emoji maintained by the social networking system and selects an emoji for associating with the content item. If certain emoji are selected, the social networking system prompts the user for compensation or requests compensation from an entity associated with the selected emoji. The selected emoji is associated with the content item and a connection, or other information, between the user and the object identifying the selected emoji is stored by the social networking system. The selected emoji may be displayed with the content item to the user and to other users connected to the user.

Associating an indication of user emotional reaction with content items presented by a social networking system

Disclosed is a system and method for an interactive communication experience on mobile devices. In general, the present disclosure discusses dynamically manipulating or modifying graphic user representations during an electronic communication. The modification or manipulation of these graphic user representations enables users to convey nuances of mood and feelings rather than being confined to conveying them through conventional communications, including text, images, video, or selecting an appropriate emoticon or avatar from a palette of predetermined emoticons or avatars.
