Journal ArticleDOI
Which White Blood Cell Subtypes Predict Increased Cardiovascular Risk
Benjamin D. Horne,Jeffrey L. Anderson,Jeffrey L. Anderson,Jerry M. John,Jerry M. John,Aaron N. Weaver,Aaron N. Weaver,Tami L Bair,Kurt R. Jensen,Dale G. Renlund,Dale G. Renlund,Joseph B. Muhlestein,Joseph B. Muhlestein +12 more
TL;DR: Total WBC count is confirmed to be an independent predictor of death/MI in patients with or at high risk for CAD, but greater predictive ability is provided by high N (Q4 >6.6 x 10(3)/microl) or low L counts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Do statins increase the risk of idiopathic polyneuropathy
Jeffrey L. Anderson,Joseph B. Muhlestein,Tami L Bair,Steven R. Morris,Aaron N. Weaver,Donald L. Lappé,Dale G. Renlund,Robert R. Pearson,Kurt R. Jensen,Benjamin D. Horne +9 more
TL;DR: It was found that statin use before diagnosis was not significantly greater in patients than controls (odds ratio 1.30, 95% confidence interval 0.3 to 2.1), nor were doses different between patients and controls.
Journal ArticleDOI
Normal Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Measurements and Interobserver Discrepancies in Volumes and Mass Using the Papillary Muscle Inclusion Method
Jeffrey L. Anderson,Aaron N. Weaver,Benjamin D. Horne,Heath U. Jones,Gerri K. Jelaco,Julie A. Cha,Hector E. Busto,Judy Hall,Kathy Walker,Duane D. Blatter +9 more
TL;DR: The results revealed 3 major sources of interobserver variability: choice of end- diastolic/end-systolic frames; choice of the most basal left and right ventricular short-axis slices; and, 3) approach to endocardial edge selection.
