TL;DR: The prevalence of infection and mortality rate in the neonatal intensive care unit of Ghaem Hospital in Mashhad is higher compared to developed countries, and the most common cause of infections was gram-negative bacteria, but coagulase-negative staphylococci become more prevalent and needs more attention.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared the birth weights of neonates born to mothers who consumed zinc supplement during pregnancy with that of infants born to those who did not, and found that zinc consumption during pregnancy increases serum zinc level of mother and neonatal weight.
