TL;DR: Protein electrophoresis showed that both fungal filtrate and methyl gallate affect the protein pattern of snails’ haemolymph, and the separation of a compound effective against snails was identified as methylgallate.

Ecological Studies on Macrobenthic Invertebrates of Bardawil Wetland, Egypt

TL;DR: A remarkable increase in the population density of Mollusca was noticed because of the declining of the fish, Sparus aurata which is main ly a bottom feeder depends on molluscan animals in its diets, encourages the recommend establishing a monitoring program to monitor changes in the lake ecosystem, especially the benthic fauna that will be of great help in the management of such important water body.

Effect of Cystoseira barbata and Dictyota dichotoma-algae on reproduction and protein pattern of Biomphalaria alexandrina snails

TL;DR: Screening tests were carried out on the action of dried powder of eight algal species against Biomphalaria alexandrina snails, where the most effective powders were from Dictyota dichotoma and Cystoseira barbata with LC50 values of 560 and 2200 ppm, respectively.
