Journal ArticleDOI

Functional finishing in cotton fabrics using zinc oxide nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this paper, zinc oxide nanoparticles were prepared by a wet chemical method using zinc nitrate and sodium hydroxide as precursors and soluble starch as stabilizing agent.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effects of elevated CO2 and elevated O3 exposure on plant growth, yield and quality of grains of two wheat cultivars grown in north India.

TL;DR: EC was able to offset the negative effects of EO on yield and yield components only, but not those concerning the quality of grains, to stabilize global food security.
Journal ArticleDOI

Foliar nutrient supplementation with micronutrient-embedded fertilizer increases biofortification, soil biological activity and productivity of eggplant

TL;DR: In this article , the effect of foliar applications of an NPK fertilizer containing N, P, K, Fe, Zn and B in combination with traditional basal NPK fertilizers was investigated in terms of eggplant yield, fruit nutritive quality and on soil biological properties.
Journal ArticleDOI

No-Tillage with Residue Retention and Foliar Sulphur Nutrition Enhances Productivity, Mineral Biofortification and Crude Protein in Rainfed Pearl Millet under Typic Haplustepts: Elucidating the Responses Imposed on an Eight-Year Long-Term Experiment

TL;DR: In this article , ammonium thiosulphate (ATS)-mediated foliar S nutrition effects on yield, protein content, mineral bio-fortification, and sulphur economy of rainfed pearl millet under diverse crop establishment systems were investigated.
Journal Article

Effects of gamma irradiation on germination and physiological parameters of maize (Zea mays) genotypes

TL;DR: Water activity, germination per cent, seedling growth, dry weight of seedlings and enzymatic activity were determined by using the standard procedures and protocols and showed that the seedling length increased in lower doses and seedling vigor index I reduced on and beyond 0.2 kGy of gamma irradiation dose.
