Background: During the COVID-19 Pandemic it requires people to be able to adaptation new habits to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19, including in schools. Schools are a potential place of risk of transmission of COVID-19 because of many people, teachers, students, and the community in the school environment. Teachers, as the spearhead of COVID-19 prevention in schools, are significant to be given education about the adaptation of new habits in schools. Aims: This study aims to determine the differences in knowledge and attitudes before and after health education intervention about the adaptation of new habits in schools for elementary school teachers in Sanga-Sanga, KutaiKartanegara, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Settings and Design: This research was conducted on Monday, August 3, 2019, at social media WhatsApp group (online). This research used preexperimental research with one group of pre-test and post-test. Methods and Material: The population of all elementary school teachers in Sanga-Sanga with 123 people purposive sampling technique. The data were collected used a questionnaire with a Guttman scale. Statistical analysis used: Data analysis used the Wilcoxon sign rank test. Results: The data showed differences in knowledge and attitudes with a p-value of 0.000. Conclusions: There are differences in knowledge and attitudes before and after health education intervention aboutadopting new habits in school for elementary school teachers in Sanga-Sanga, KutaiKartanegara, East Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Effect of educational game usage in increasing self-protection capabilities at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Alwahyu Jakarta.

Introduction: The number of child sexual abuse cases in Indonesia are still high, including in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatera. One of the preventive effort that can be practiced is teaching them about children self-protection knowledge from sexual abuse through sexual education using appropriate methods and media, such as watching animated video and dreall healthy. The aim of this research was to determine difference in dreall healthy and animated video about sexual education toward children self-protection knowledge from sexual abuse. Methods: This research was a quantitative study and use quasi experiment design with pretest-postest group. Samples in this research were 40 children in dreall healthy group and 37 children in the animated video group, the samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by using questionnaire and data analysis was using paired t test and independent t test. Results: This research showed that there was  difference in children self-protection knowledge from sexual abuse before and after sexual education with dreall healthy and animated video with p value 0.000 (α ≤0.05) and there was difference in children self-protection knowledge from sexual abuse between dreall healthy and animated video with p value 0.014 (α ≤0.05). Conclusion: Sexual education with dreall healthy is more effective to increase children self-protection knowledge because it can stimulate the children’s brain nerves so that their memory could be better. It was expected that parents, public health center staffs, and counselor in schools be able to provide sexual education as early as possible to the children.

Improving Self-Protection Knowledge Against Sexual Abuse by Using Dreall Healthy and Animation Video

Background: To date, more than 10% of the global population is unvaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), and the reasons why this population is not vaccinated are not well identified. Objectives: We investigated the prevalence of COVID-19 vaccine refusal and to assess the factors associated with COVID-19 vaccine refusal. Methods: A meta-analysis was conducted during August to November 2022 (PROSPERO: CRD42022384562). We searched articles investigating the refusal of COVID-19 vaccination and its potential associated factors in PubMed, Scopus, and the Web of Sciences. The quality of the articles was assessed using the Newcastle–Ottawa scale, and the data were collected using a pilot form. The cumulative prevalence of the refusal to vaccinate against COVID-19 was identified using a single-arm meta-analysis. The factors associated with COVID-19 vaccine refusals were determined using the Mantel-Haenszel method. Results: A total of 24 articles were included in the analysis. Our findings showed that the global prevalence of COVID-19 vaccine refusal was 12%, and the highest prevalence was in the general population, and the lowest prevalence was in the healthcare worker subgroup. Furthermore, individuals with a high socioeconomic status, history of previous vaccination, and medical background had a lower rate of COVID-19 vaccination refusal. Subsequently, the following factors were associated with an increased risk of COVID-19 vaccine refusal: being female, educational attainment lower than an undergraduate degree, and living in a rural area. Conclusion: Our study identified the prevalence of and factors associated with COVID-19 vaccine refusal. This study may serve as an initial reference to achieve global coverage of COVID-19 vaccination by influencing the population of COVID-19 vaccine refusal.
