Journal ArticleDOI
Urban flood modelling combining top-view LiDAR data with ground-view SfM observations
TL;DR: In this paper, a complex urban area of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was chosen as a study area to simulate the extreme flooding event that occurred in 2003, and three different DTMs were generated and used as input for a two-dimensional (2D) urban flood model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of land uses on water quality in Malaysia: a review
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the significance of both land use and water quality attributes used in the past studies and correlated them to understand their relationship from another angle of view, which would provide decision-makers with useful information for managing water pollution processes rather than sources only.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Use of LiDAR-Derived DEM in Flood Applications: A Review
Nur Atirah Muhadi,Ahmad Fikri Abdullah,Siti Khairunniza Bejo,Muhammad Razif Mahadi,Ana Mijic +4 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that LiDAR-derived data are useful in flood risk management, especially in the future assessment of flood-related problems.
Journal ArticleDOI
Droplet deposition density of organic liquid fertilizer at low altitude UAV aerial spraying in rice cultivation
Muhammad Nurfaiz Abd. Kharim,Aimrun Wayayok,Abdul Rashid Mohamed Shariff,Ahmad Fikri Abdullah,Ezrin Mohd Husin +4 more
TL;DR: The experimental results showed that the droplet uniformity and droplet deposition density was higher when the UAV flying speed was maintained at the lower speed compared to the higher flying speed, which could provide technical support for UAV aerial spraying within the rice cultivation field.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improved methodology for processing raw LiDAR data to support urban flood modelling – accounting for elevated roads and bridges
TL;DR: The results have shown that the newly developed MPMA2 algorithm has better capabilities of identifying some of the features that are vital for urban flood modelling applications than any of the currently available algorithms and it leads to better agreement between simulated and observed flood depths and flood extents.
