A New Single-Phase Controlled Rectifier Using Single-Phase Matrix Converter

TL;DR: In this article, the application of single-phase matrix converter (SPMC) as an AC-DC controlled rectifier for basic operation is presented. But, the application is limited to the case where the switch duty ratio is calculated to synthesize the output of the output and a safe commutation strategy is developed to avoid voltage spikes due to inductive load.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simulation Investigation of SPWM, THIPWM and SVPWM Techniques for Three Phase Voltage Source Inverter

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the performance of Sine Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM), Third Harmonic Injection (THIPWM), and Space Vector Pulse Width modulation (SVPWM) for three-phase voltage source inverters.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Single-phase hybrid active power filter using single switch parallel active filter and simple passive filter

TL;DR: In this paper, a single-switch parallel active power filter is used to reduce switching stress, losses and also the cost of the single-phase single-input single-output (SISO) system.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Performance improvement of induction motor drive using simplified FLC method

TL;DR: In this article, an improvement method for simplified fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for induction motor is presented to enhance performance for variable speed drive performance in a rated forward and reverse operation.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Single-phase shunt active power filter using single-switch incorporating boost circuit

TL;DR: In this article, a shunt active power filter for harmonic compensation of a single-phase system feeding non-linear load is proposed to mitigate the distortion current by injecting equal but opposite current to shape the pulsating nature of the supply current to a sinusoidal form and in-time phase with the supply voltage.
