Load Frequency Control and Automatic Voltage Regulation in a Multi-Area Interconnected Power System Using Nature-Inspired Computation-Based Control Methodology
TL;DR: In this paper , a proportional integral-proportional derivative (PI-PD) controller with combined load frequency control (LFC) and automatic voltage regulator (AVR) is proposed to stabilize the nominal frequency and terminal voltage in an interconnected power system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Robust Stabilization and Synchronization of a Novel Chaotic System with Input Saturation Constraints
Ahmad Taher Azar,Fernando E. Serrano,Quanmin Zhu,Maamar Bettayeb,Giuseppe Fusco,Jing Na,Weicun Zhang,Nashwa Ahmad Kamal +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the robust stabilization and synchronization of a novel chaotic system are presented, in which a robust controller is obtained by selecting an appropriate robust control Lyapunov function to obtain the resulting control law.
Book ChapterDOI
Boosted Decision Trees for Vertebral Column Disease Diagnosis
TL;DR: A decision support tool that can help in detection of pathology on the vertebral column using three types of decision trees classifiers and results showed that grade of spondylolisthesis is the most relevant feature for classification using BDT classifier.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multi-adaptive neural-fuzzy system as a novel predictor of in-vivo blood side dialyser urea clearance
TL;DR: The results suggest that the neuro-fuzzy technology, based on limited clinical parameters, is an excellent alternative method for accurately predicting arterial and venous urea concentrations in hemodialysis patients.
