Remote sensing detection of gold related alteration zones in Um Rus area, Central Eastern Desert of Egypt
TL;DR: In this paper, an advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) and Phased Array L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (PALSAR) images covering the Um Rus area in the Central Eastern Desert of Egypt were evaluated for mapping geologic structure, lithology and gold-related alteration zones.
Journal ArticleDOI
ASTER spectral analysis for alteration minerals associated with gold mineralization
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented classifications of Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) imagery based on spectral analysis of alteration minerals associated with gold mineralization in Abo Marawat area which is located in the Central Eastern Desert of Egypt.
Journal ArticleDOI
Physico-chemical conditions controlling the radionuclides mobilisation in various granitic environments
Ahmed M. El Mezayen,Eman M. Ibrahim,Mohamed G. El-Feky,Sayed M. Omar,Ahmed Mohammed El-Shabasy,Sherif A. Taalab +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, nine samples were chemically characterized and radiometrically analyzed for determination of 234U, 238U, 235U, 230Th, 232Th, 226Ra and 40K by γ-ray spectrometer Hyper Purity Germanium.
Journal ArticleDOI
Radioactive risk assessment of beach sand along the coastline of Mediterranean Sea at El-Arish area, North Sinai, Egypt.
TL;DR: In this article , the radioactive hazards associated with the beach sand along the coastline of the Mediterranean Sea at the east of the El-Arish area, Egypt were investigated using multivariate statistical approaches like Pearson correlation, the principal component analysis (PCA) and the hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA).
Journal ArticleDOI
Recent uranium mobilization of late neoproterozoic El Sela sheared granites, South Eastern Desert, Egypt
TL;DR: In this paper, the El Sela shear zone through ENE-WSW and NNW-SSE trends is described as a perfect way for ascending hydrothermal solutions and meteoric water that led to leaching of uranium from its bearing minerals and redeposit them in the altered granites.
