Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of dietary energy level and dietary energy source on growth, feed conversion and body composition of turbot (Scophthalmus maximus L.)

TL;DR: The body fat content of the experimental fish did not exceed that of wild fish even at the highest dietary energy level, and protein utilization was superior to that of turbot given diets containing 500 g protein/kg.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies on the nutrition of marine flatfish. The effect of dietary protein content on certain cell components and enzymes in the liver of Pleuronectes platessa

TL;DR: It is suggested that kinetic and allosteric factors may be more important in controlling protein metabolism and amino acid cat abolism in fish than total enzyme level.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gametogenic asynchrony of mussels Mytilus in a mixed-species area: Implications for management

TL;DR: Results suggest that the settlement of M. trossulus and/or M. edulis hybrids may occur during most of the year, and implies that management of the timing of the deployment of settlement ropes to significantly favour the settlement and production of maturation stages M.Edulis is unlikely to be successful.
