C-Terminal Peptide of Fusarium heterosporum Lipase Is Necessary for Its Increasing Thermostability
TL;DR: Saccharomyces cerevisiae bearing a lipase cDNA from Fusarium heterosporum produced two lipases, A and B, and it was suggested that the C-terminal peptide tightened the lipase structure when bound to the catalytic domain through a peptide bond.
Journal ArticleDOI
Penicillium abeanum lipase: Purification, characterization, and its use for docosahexaenoic acid enrichment of tuna oil
TL;DR: The enzyme showed lower activities towards ester bonds of polyunsaturated fatty acids as compared with those of other acids, and was proved effective for increasing the concentration of docosahexaenoic acid in tuna oil.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of Novel Cholesterol Esterase from Trichoderma sp. AS59 with High Ability to Synthesize Steryl Esters
Atsushi Maeda,Takayuki Mizuno,Masanori Bunya,Shigeo Sugihara,Daisuke Nakayama,Susumu Tsunasawa,Yoshinori Hirota,Akio Sugihara +7 more
TL;DR: A novel cholesterol esterase with broad substrate specificity, being capable of hydrolyzing various fatty acid esters of not only cholesterol, but also methanol, glycerol, and p-nitrophenol, indicates its potential utility in food additives and liquid crystal devices.
Journal ArticleDOI
Production of MAG of CLA in a solvent-free system at low temperature with Candida rugosa lipase
Yomi Watanabe,Yoshie Yamauchi-Sato,Toshihiro Nagao,Takaya Yamamoto,Kentaro Tsutsumi,Akio Sugihara,Yuji Shimada +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors attempted to produce MAG of CLA through lipase-catalyzed esterification of a FFA mixture containing CLA (referred to as FFA-CLA) with glycerol.
