Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of Alkoxythallium(III) Compounds of Olefins and Their Reaction with Copper Halides and Pseudohalides
TL;DR: In this paper, an ionic concerted intermolecular scheme was proposed as a reaction mechanism for the preparation of I. The data of NMR and IR spectra of I are briefly discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Chlorination of Cyclooctadiene with Cupric Chloride in Acetonitrile Containing Lithium Chloride
Journal ArticleDOI
Diacetoxylation of conjugated dienes with thallium(III) acetate in acetic acid
TL;DR: In this article, the reaction of conjugated dienes such as 1, 3-butadiene, isoprene, 2,3-dimethyl-1, 3 butadiene and 1, 4-hexadiene with thallium(III)acetate in acetic acid at 10-65° for 0.5-15 hours was investigated, with an isomeric mixture of corresponding diacetoxyalkenes (1, 2-and 1,4-addition products) in 10-92% yields.
Journal ArticleDOI
1,2- And 1,4-diacetoxylation of conjugated dienes with thallium(III) and lead(IV) acetates
TL;DR: The first example of 1,4-addition of acetoxy-groups to conjugate dienes occurred during oxidation with TlIII and PbIV acetates as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sodium borohydride reduction of alkoxythallated compounds of olefins
TL;DR: Alkaline NaBH4 reduction of alkoxythallated compounds of olefins gives a mixture of the parent olefs, alkyl ethers, and dialkylthallium compounds.
