Actinomycetes isolated from medicinal plant rhizosphere soils: diversity and screening of antifungal compounds, indole-3-acetic acid and siderophore production

TL;DR: Actinomycete isolates obtained from 16 medicinal plant rhizosphere soils had high ability to produced antifungal compounds, IAA and siderophores, and Streptomyces CMU-PA101 and StrePTomycesCMU-SK126 had high able to produced anti-fungal substances, including indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and sidersophores.
Journal ArticleDOI

Proposal of Lysinibacillus boronitolerans gen. nov. sp. nov., and transfer of Bacillus fusiformis to Lysinibacillus fusiformis comb. nov. and Bacillus sphaericus to Lysinibacillus sphaericus comb. nov.

TL;DR: The phylogenetic and phenotypic analyses and DNA-DNA relatedness indicated that the three strains belong to the same species, that was characterized by a DNA G+C content of 36.5-37.9 mol%, MK-7 as the predominant menaquinone system and iso-C(15 : 0) as a major cellular fatty acid.
Journal ArticleDOI

Detection of seven major evolutionary lineages in cyanobacteria based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis with new sequences of five marine Synechococcus strains.

TL;DR: Analysis of 16S rRNA gene phylogeny by the maximum-likelihood and neighbor-joining methods combined with rate homogeneous and heterogeneous models revealed seven major evolutionary lineages of the cyanobacteria, including prochlorophycean organisms.
Journal ArticleDOI

Catenuloplanes japonicus gen. nov., sp. nov., nom. rev., a New Genus of the Order Actinomycetales

TL;DR: Thirteen strains of motile arthrospore-bearing actinomycetes were isolated from soils in Japan, India, and Nepal and the name Catenuloplanes japonicus gen. nov., sp.
