Hydroxybenzoic acids from Boreava orientalis

TL;DR: A new guaiacylglycerol ether, threo-guaiacyls glycerol-8′-vanillic acid ether, pyrocatechuic acid and vanillic acids 4-O-β-d-glucoside were identified from Boreava orientalis Structural elucidation was carried out on the basis of UV, mass, 1H and 13C NMR spectral data, including 2D shift-correlation and selective INEPT experiments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies on the Chinese Crude Drug "Forsythiae Fructus." VI. The Structure and Antibacterial Activity of Suspensaside isolated from Forsythia suspensa

TL;DR: A new caffeoyl glycoside of β, 3, 4-trihydroxyphenethyl alcohol, designated as suspensaside (1), was isolated from the fruits of Forsythia suspensa VAHL (Oleaceae), and exhibited antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus TERASHIMA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation of Nitrophenols from Diesel Exhaust Particles (DEP) as Vasodilatation Compounds

TL;DR: The compounds in diesel exhaust particles (DEP) that are responsible for vasodilatation were isolated and characterized for the first time and caused dilatation of rat thoracic artery and the other two nitrophenols also showed vasodILatation activities.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Structure of Forsythiaside isolated from Forsythia suspensa

TL;DR: A new caffeoyl glycoside of 3, 4-dihydroxy-β-phenethyl alcohol, designated as forsythiaside (1), was isolated from the fruits of Forsythia suspensa VAHL (Oleaceae).
Journal ArticleDOI

Flavonoids from Rhamnus pallasii

TL;DR: A new dihydroflavonol, pallasiin, together with kaempferol, quercetin, isorhamnetin, mearnsetin, aromadendrin, eriodictyol and taxifolin is isolated from the bark of Rhamnus pallasii and its structure elucidated as 2,3-dihydromyricetin 4′- O -methyl ether.
