TL;DR: A method based on the polymerase chain reaction for highly sensitive detection and identification of human malaria parasites was applied to blood and mosquito samples obtained from a village in Guinea Bissau and preliminary evidence was obtained to show that the distribution of P. malariae infections within the village was non-random.

Preventing HIV transmission in adolescents: an analysis of the Portuguese data from the Health Behaviour School-aged Children study and focus groups.

TL;DR: It was concluded that these adolescents view sexual behaviour, sexual partners and condom use as elements within a complex script that governs heterosexual interactions, which has important implications for the implementation of a comprehensive programme on HIV/AIDS education in secondary schools.
