Journal ArticleDOI

Photosynthetic pigments, nitrogen, chlorophyll a fluorescence and SPAD-502 readings in coffee leaves

TL;DR: The SPAD-502 has been shown to be a good tool to diagnose the integrity of the photosynthetic system in coffee leaves, and can thus help in the advanced interpretations of the photochemical process of these plants.
Journal ArticleDOI

Portable chlorophyll meter for the quantification of photosynthetic pigments, nitrogen and the possible use for assessment of the photochemical process in Carica papaya L.

TL;DR: In this article, a quantificacao nao-destrutiva dos teores de clorofila and nitrogenio por meio do SPAD-502 is presented, in which folhas de mamoeiros (grupos 'Solo' e 'Formosa') of diferentes estadios de desenvolvimento, coletadas de plantas com 15 meses de idade, cultivadas in plantio comercial no municipio de Sao Francisco de Itabapoana/RJ.
Journal ArticleDOI

Boron deficiency affects gas exchange and photochemical efficiency (jpi test parameters) in green dwarf coconut

TL;DR: In this article, a modification of PSII photochemistry and gas-exchange in boron deficient green dwarf coconut plants were investigated, which increased the ratio of total dissipation to the amount of active reaction centers (RCs) [dissipation (DI)/RC] and the leaf-to-air vapor pressure difference (VPDleaf-air).
Journal ArticleDOI

Brassinosteroid analogue affects the senescence in two papaya genotypes submitted to drought stress

TL;DR: Results indicate that SAB might have contributed to accelerate the rate of leaf senescence of the oldest leaves of stressed plants, redistributing photoassimilates and other compounds for the youngest leaves.
