Eco-innovation describes the creation of novel and competitively priced goods, processes, systems, services, policies, and procedures that satisfy human needs and improve the quality of life while ensuring sustainable development with minimal use of natural resources and minimal release of toxic substances. This article delves into one of the most pressing problems in improving the assessment of eco-innovative projects meant to effect sustainable development. The article also proposes new criteria for evaluating eco-innovation projects. The purpose is to develop and propose a graphic model by which to assess the innovativeness, competitiveness, and eco-efficiency of eco-innovation projects. In the development of this method, experts applied a methodological approach based on an assessment of the indicators of the innovativeness, competitiveness, and eco-efficiency of an eco-innovation project through the associated construction of a graphic model with indicators divided into nine sectors.

The paper deals with consumer preferences of young people (members of Y generation) in relation to general principles of sustainability in environmental and social aspects of consumer goods purchase. The aim of the article is to evaluate the relationship between the general attitudes to the above-mentioned issues and the awareness of the “fair trade” business concept in the context of sustainable development of the young generation aged 15 34 in the Czech Republic. The presented results were obtained through primary research involving 840 respondents from the Czech Republic. Within the research, the quota selection features were taken into account, which were gender, age, educational attainment and respondent’s residence area. The results show that young people are interested in the origin of consumer goods they buy. They are willing to invest more in the purchase of goods if their price reflects the quality, the environmentally friendly way and the working conditions of the producers. From the point of view of the specific knowledge of the concept of Fair Trade, it was found that almost half knows it. It has been proven that young people who are interested in the origin of goods also know Fair Trade.

This article studies the specific development of public service and the possible application of foreign experience in Russia and other countries. The article aims at conducting a comparative analysis of development patterns typical of the institution of public service in the world and determining their general and distinctive features that should be considered when identifying the objectives of reforming the institution of public service in Russia. Results. The article considers development patterns typical of the institution of public service in foreign countries. The main stages of reforming public service have been examined and analyzed, as well as general and distinctive features of this process have been determined. Conclusions. While defining the main objectives of reforming the Russian institution of public service, it is necessary to consider the positive experience of foreign countries. In particular, attention should be paid to the changes at each stage of reforming, namely: the legal support of public service, the organizational structure of public service, personnel policy, the provision of public services to citizens by state employees, and the development of information society. The prospects for further research are to study the specific development of the institution of public service in developed economies. An in-depth comparative analysis of improving such an institution will enable to use the best foreign achievements in reforming the Russian institution of public service.

Specifics of developing the Institution of Public Service: International Experience and its application in Russia

The article developed the methodological foundations of the development of adaptation tools to improve the development and functioning of ecological entrepreneurship: the possibility and conditions for the use of such tools for transferring powers to environmental benefits, such as concession, trust management, public-private partnership, are justified; Criteria are proposed for the ecological business entity to choose the organizational and legal form of the enterprise that meets the conditions for its functioning: the presence of a certain amount of work to start production; the availability and sufficiency of financial resources of the enterprise; type of products or direction of activity of the subject of ecological entrepreneurship; as a tool to support the adaptation of the development of ecological entrepreneurship, ways of integrating enterprises in this field, in particular vertical, horizontal cooperation, are considered; the use of a concession agreement is proposed, which provides for a concession fee.

Adaptation Of The Development Of Ecological Entrepreneurship

Green office that is implemented within the environmental management system is one of the current concerns of environmentally friendly advocates. It is to do with the phenomenon of high environmental degradation and the low awareness of people about environmental-friendly behavior. Previous studies have indicated that the application of green office, particularly in government agencies, had not been optimally practiced due to low commitment and scant discussions. This study was thus conducted with the aim of exploring and identifying the various applications and dimensions of the green office concept among government institutions in Central Java, Indonesia. To fulfil the research objectives, a triangulation research method was employed, comprising focus group discussions, in-depth interviews and close observations of the offices located in five (5) municipal government agencies. Results indicated that seven green office dimensions were applied by the government institutions, namely: energy conservation, water conservation, building layouts, office technology, human resource management, work systems, and office waste management.

The growing awareness of environmental issues, such as the accelerated depletion of natural resources and declines in the quality of the environment, has led to the emergence of the concept of balanced (sustainable) development, which implies continual coordination with an equal focus on the following three key components of development – economic, social, and environmental. The purpose of this paper is to analyze some of the key characteristics of the development and organization of environmental entrepreneurship. The authors explore in detail the concept of environmental entrepreneurship. An expert survey was conducted to determine some of the key ideas for the development of environmental entrepreneurship, as well as some of the key prospects for integrating environmental aspects into entrepreneurial activity as a whole. Among the key areas for the development of environmental entrepreneurship listed in the paper are production of organic output, environmental construction, environmental tourism, and waste management and recycling. The authors provide an in-depth insight into some of the key principles and lines of activity on each of the areas mentioned.
