Journal ArticleDOI
Strontium isotopic, chemical, and sedimentological evidence for the evolution of Lake Lisan and the Dead Sea
Mordechai Stein,Abraham Starinsky,Amitai Katz,Steven L. Goldstein,Malka Machlus,Alexandra Schramm +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the strontium isotope ratios of aragonite and gypsum from the Lisan Formation in the Perazim Valley (near the SW shore of the Dead Sea).
Journal ArticleDOI
Calibration of the 14C time scale to > 40 ka by 234U-230Th dating of Lake Lisan sediments (last glacial Dead Sea)
TL;DR: In this article, a comparison of 14C dates with aragonites from Lake Lisan, the last Glacial Dead Sea, between ∼20-52 cal-ka-BP is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Erratum to “Calibration of the 14C time scale to >40 ka by 234U–230Th dating of Lake Lisan sediments (last glacial Dead Sea)” [Earth Planet. Sci. Lett. 175 (2000) 27–40]
Journal ArticleDOI
Radiocarbon calibration beyond the dendrochronology range
TL;DR: In this article, the radiocarbon timescale has been calibrated by dendrochronology back to 11.8 ka cal BP using laminated marine sediments from the Cariaco Basin.
