Pulmonary interstitial fibrosis and haemosiderin-laden macrophages: late following heart transplantation.
Jim J. Egan,N. Martin,Philip S. Hasleton,Nizar Yonan,Ali Rahman,C.A. Campbell,Abdul K. Deiraniya,K. B. Carroll,Ashley Woodcock +8 more
TL;DR: The histological features of interstitial fibrosis may underlie the fall in gas transfer seen following heart transplantation, and the presence of haemosiderin-laden macrophages late following heart transplants suggests a capillary leak syndrome.
Journal Article

Journal ArticleDOI
Reversal of ergotamine-induced vasospasm following methylprednisolone
Ali Rahman,Mustafa Yildiz,Erdogan Dadas,Emir Dönder,Mutlu Cihangiroglu,Cenker Eken,M. Nuri Bozdemir +6 more
TL;DR: Ischemia in an extremity secondary to ergotamine-induced vasospasm unresponsive to sodium nitroprusside may be treated successfully with methylprednisolone, and corticosteroids may be considered as an alternative therapy, especially for intractable cases.
