Ultrasonic attenuation measurements on thallium-based high-temperature superconductors

TL;DR: Mesures d'attenuation d'ultrasons sur des supraconducteurs a haute temperature a base de Thallium ayant une temperature de transition voisine de 110 K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermoelectric power of Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O and Pr-Tl-Sr-Ca-Cu-O high Tc superconductors

TL;DR: In this article, the thermoelectric power of Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O superconductor was measured in the temperature interval 77-300 K, where the resistive behavior of the superconductors was found to be metallic while that of Pr-Tl-Sr-Ca, Cu-O showed a mixed metallic and semiconductive behaviour.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pressure study of Tc and Josephson absorption in YBa2Cu3O7−λ and Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O superconductors

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of pressure on high-T c superconductors was studied by Josephson absorption as a new and very accurate method for determination of the critical temperature, and the uncertainty in T c was less than 0.06 K. The pressure derivative d T c /d p equals 1.06 k GPa -1 for YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7−λ and 2.20 K GPa 1 for Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O ceramics.

High temperature superconductor system and processes for making same

TL;DR: In this article, a high temperature superconducting system has the general composition Tl-R-X-Y, wherein R is a Group 2A element, X is a group 1B element, and Y is an Group 6A element.

Process for making tl-ba-ca-gu-o superconductors

TL;DR: A process of making high temperature Tl-based superconductors includes reacting solid Ba-Ca-Cu-oxides with Tl₂O₃ vapour as discussed by the authors.
