Purpose: In this study, we examine the food loss food waste (FLFW) risks in agricultural supply chain through combination the risk analysis approach and lean principles.Methodology: The methodology of this study includes the actor analysis, risk analysis approach, and lean principles. The actor analysis is conducted to identify the actor’s needs, problems, and characters. The risk analysis approach was combined with lean supply chain principles to identify risk points for FLFW in the agricultural supply chain for cayenne pepper in Indonesia. A risk–lean relationship matrix was developed to identify waste reduction efforts.Findings: In this study, the lean-risk matrix was created to discover the similarities and differences in waste reduction efforts in agricultural products compared with traditional manufacturing products, which can also apply to agricultural products in this case study.Research limitations/implications: This study focuses on combining the risk analysis and lean principles to determine the FLFW risk on the agricultural supply chain and find possible solutions to mitigate those risks. The case study for this research is the cayenne pepper supply chain.Originality/value: Lean principles in the FLFW problem are rarely found in studies. Lean principles are an approach that can be used to obtain solutions to reduce waste.

Risk analysis approach to identifying actions that reduce waste for a Lean agricultural supply chain

Energy sector in particular of oil and gas industry is the industry that became main income in the State of Indonesia before 2015, but in the same year there was a significant change in oil and gas prices. A more rapid and systematic project management pattern is required using Agile, Agile is a management project pattern that will be implemented in the current decade, using agile activities to make it easier to think, understand and implement prioritization at each stage. In this research will be mapping priority and risk based on expert on determining risk matrix, job priority and risk mapping. The results of this study indicate that subsurface activity is the main sub-project that must be prioritized.

Risk Analysis of Agile Framework in Project Management Exploration Drilling in Oil and Gas Sector

Workplace conditions can affect the physical health and mental health of workers in them, which in turn can affect the performance and productivity of human labor. Therefore, workplaces need to be designed as well as possible by focusing on human factors. This research is intended to look for factors that are considered in the design of workplaces carried out in previous studies. The next objective is to investigate the factors that are relevant to be considered in designing workplaces in small and medium industries (SMIs) in Indonesia. The results of the investigation show that eight factors are considered as very relevant and the other twelve are considered as relevant. Overall, twenty factors are considered as relevant for consideration in designing workplaces in Indonesian SMIs.

Investigation of relevant factors in workplace design of small and medium industries in Indonesia

South Halmahera is one of the regencies in North Maluku Province, Indonesia where the potential of agricultural sectors is not accompanied by the income of the local farmers. Therefore, we propose to apply sustainable supply chain management and the fair trade concept for the agricultural products in this district. The results of this research are expected to be applied to solve the issues in the development of economic potential of Papua-Maluku islands and to provide strategic solution for agricultural main program in South Halmahera. This research focused on mapping the fairtrade requirements in comparison with the actual situation in South Halmahera by doing supply chain analysis and analyzing fair trade requirements in order to fulfill the requirements for sustainable supply chain management and fairtrade certification.South Halmahera is one of the regencies in North Maluku Province, Indonesia where the potential of agricultural sectors is not accompanied by the income of the local farmers.
