Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) has recently emerged as a new paradigm for processing different types of images. SVD is an attractive algebraic transform for image processing applications. The paper proposes an experimental survey for the SVD as an efficient transform in image processing applications. Despite the well-known fact that SVD offers attractive properties in imaging, the exploring of using its properties in various image applications is currently at its infancy. Since the SVD has many attractive properties have not been utilized, this paper contributes in using these generous properties in newly image applications and gives a highly recommendation for more research challenges. In this paper, the SVD properties for images are experimentally presented to be utilized in developing new SVD-based image processing applications. The paper offers survey on the developed SVD based image applications. The paper also proposes some new contributions that were originated from SVD properties analysis in different image processing. The aim of this paper is to provide a better understanding of the SVD in image processing and identify important various applications and open research directions in this increasingly important area; SVD based image processing in the future research.

A novel zero-watermarking approach of medical images based on Jacobian matrix model

Medical images stored in health information systems, cloud or other systems are of key importance. Privacy and security needs to be guaranteed for such images through encryption and authentication processes. Encrypted and watermarked images in this domain needed to be reversible so that the plain image operated on in the encryption and watermarking process can be fully recoverable due to the sensitivity of the data conveyed in medical images. In this paper, we proposed a fully recoverable encrypted and watermarked image processing technique for the security of medical images in health information systems. The approach is used to authenticate and secure the medical images. Our results showed to be very effective and reliable for fully recoverable images.

A Security Technique for Authentication and Security of Medical Images in Health Information Systems

This article constitutes a contribution to an analysis of the notion of variable. Within the framework of Combinatory Logic as a formalism without bound variables, the Logic of Determination of Objects (LDO) provides an explanation for the necessary distinction between "whatever, any" and "indeterminate, indefinite" used by the introduction and elimination rules of quantifiers in Natural Deduction. The intension of a concept and typical and atypical occurrences of a concept are also introduced yielding new quantifiers which are more adequate to natural language processing (NPL) and to the study of natural inferences in common reasoning.
