Study of the biodiesel B100 oxidative stability in mixture with antioxidants

TL;DR: In this article, the authors assessed the oxidative stability of biodiesel B100, made from soybeans, in the presence of three synthetic antioxidants, butylhydroxyanisole (BHA), terbutylhydroquinone (TBHQ), pure or in mixture, from the simplex-centroid design.
Journal ArticleDOI

A corrosão do aço inoxidável austenítico 304 em biodiesel

TL;DR: In this paper, the corrosive behavior of 304 austenitic stainless steel in the presence of biodiesel, unwashed and washed, with aqueous solutions of citric, oxalic, acetic and ascorbic acids 0,01 mol L-1, was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

In vitro antioxidant extracts evaluation from the residue of the Hevea brasiliensis seed

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors obtained extracts from the seed pomace of the Hevea brasiliensis (rubber tree), relating the contents of flavonoids and total phenols in the application as an antioxidant, and evaluated the antioxidant activity in vitro by capturing the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazil) radical.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synergistic study of the antioxidant potential of barley waste for biodiesel.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the use of Barley waste (RCV) and citric acid as antioxidants in biodiesel and found that RCV extracts were added during biodiesel production, which eliminated steps and improved the process.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical behavior of indole for AISI 430 stainless steel in changing the media from 1 mol L-1 H2SO4 to 1 mol L-1 HCl

TL;DR: In this paper, the electrochemical indole behavior of stainless steel was studied in the presence of SO4-2 and HCl 1 mol L-1 media. And the results indicated that the adsorption of indole was lower in the medium containing Cl-, which is justified by the indole action as a weak acid, because it has only a single pair of electrons which is displaced and takes part in the π-electron aromatic system.
