Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanochemical synthesis, characterization, and thermal behavior of meloxicam cocrystals with salicylic acid, fumaric acid, and malic acid

TL;DR: In this paper, a liquid-assisted grinding approach was used to synthesize three cocrystals between the coformers: salicylic acid, fumaric acid, and malic acid with meloxicam, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ketoconazole: compatibility with pharmaceutical excipients using DSC and TG techniques

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the compatibility of ketoconazole with some excipients: corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate and povidone, using differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetry (TG).
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, characterization and thermal behavior of solid state of some mefenamate of trivalent lanthanides (La, Ce, Pr and Nd)

TL;DR: In this paper, solid-state Ln(Mef)3 compounds were synthesized using elemental analysis, complexometry, image analysis by field emission gun, simultaneous thermogravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry coupled to Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of the thermal behavior in oxidative and pyrolysis conditions of some transition metals complexes with Lornoxicam as ligand using the techniques: TG-DSC, DSC, HSM and EGA (TG-FTIR and HSM-MS)

TL;DR: In this paper, Lornoxicam metal complexes were synthesized under oxidizing and pyrolysis conditions and characterized by elemental analysis (EA), powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), simultaneous thermogravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry (TG-DSC), hot-stage microscopy (HSM) and evolved gas analysis (EGA) by coupled Fourier transform infrared (TG−FTIR).
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal, spectroscopic and antimicrobial activity characterization of some norfloxacin complexes

TL;DR: In this article, the performance of coordination compounds of transition metals with norfloxacin (Nor) has been investigated under both oxidative and pyrolysis conditions, and the minimum formula was established as [M(Nor)2(H 2O)2]·nH2O, where n = 3 (Ni), 2.5 (Mn Co, Zn), or 2 (Cu).
