Giovanni Bonaccorsi,Francesco Pierri,Matteo Cinelli,Andrea Flori,Alessandro Galeazzi,Francesco Porcelli,Ana Lucia Schmidt,Carlo Michele Valensise,Antonio Scala,Walter Quattrociocchi,Fabio Pammolli +10 more
TL;DR: A massive analysis of the impact of lockdown measures introduced in response to the spread of novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on socioeconomic conditions of Italian citizens is presented and evidence of a segregation effect is found, since mobility contraction is stronger in municipalities in which inequality is higher and for those where individuals have lower income per capita.
Journal ArticleDOI
Time, space and social interactions: exit mechanisms for the Covid-19 epidemics.
Antonio Scala,Andrea Flori,Alessandro Spelta,Emanuele Brugnoli,Matteo Cinelli,Walter Quattrociocchi,Fabio Pammolli +6 more
TL;DR: A minimalist compartmental model to study the impact of mobility restrictions in Italy during the Covid-19 outbreak shows that social contacts between members of different age classes play a fundamental role and that interventions which target local behaviours and take into account the age structure of the population can provide a significant contribution to mitigate the epidemic spreading.
Journal ArticleDOI
After the lockdown: simulating mobility, public health and economic recovery scenarios.
TL;DR: Estimating the impact on regional productive systems in Italy of the interplay between the epidemic and the mobility restriction measures put in place to contain the contagion and shedding lights on how recovery policies need to balance the inter play between mobility flows of disposable workers and the diffusion of contagion is shed.
Journal ArticleDOI
The evolving topology of the Lightning Network: Centralization, efficiency, robustness, synchronization, and anonymity.
Stefano Martinazzi,Andrea Flori +1 more
TL;DR: This work analyses the evolution of the LN during its first year of existence to assess its impact over some of the core fundamentals of Bitcoin, such as: node centralization, resilience against attacks and disruptions, anonymity of users, autonomous coordination of its members.
Journal ArticleDOI
Commodity prices co-movements and financial stability: A multidimensional visibility nexus with climate conditions
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the nexus between climate-related variables, commodity price co-movements and financial stability by projecting the commodity price time series onto a multilayer network and using centrality measures computed on the network to detect the existence of common trends between the series and to characterize the role of different nodes during phases of market downturns and upturns.
