Reflex changes of heart rate during very slow (

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the experimental model of periodic breathing, generated both spontaneously by chronic heart failure (CHF) patients and voluntarily by normal subjects, and linear system analysis to investigate the reflex response of the heart rate (HR) to very slow (<0.04 Hz) changes of lung volumes.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Baroreflex gain measured by the phenylephrine method and by the Robbe spectral technique in post-myocardial infarction patients

TL;DR: The authors' conclusion is that the spectral technique can substitute the pharmacological measurement for screening purposes but not in the assessment of patient prognosis where a depressed phenylephrine BRG (<3 ms/mmHg) has an important independent prognostic value.
Journal ArticleDOI

366 right heart failure in carcinoid heart disease: a multidisciplinary approach

TL;DR: In this article , a 47-year-old man with a history of operated neuroendocrine gastrointestinal tumor (ileal resection+right hemicolectomy+mesenteric lymphadenectomy) was admitted to the hospital for right heart failure.
Journal ArticleDOI

P240 short–term effect of sglt2i on echocardiographic parameters in hfref patients treated with arni

TL;DR: It is confirmed that, in HFrEF patients, ARNI positively modifies left ventricular contraction and remodeling, and this effect is still verified regardless of the presence of T2DM, and the association with SGLT2i, conversely, does not appear to provide further positive benefits on remodeling.
