Journal ArticleDOI
Mesenchymal stem cell therapy and acute graft-versus-host disease: a review.
Bruna Amorin,Ana Paula Alegretti,Vanessa de Souza Valim,Annelise Pezzi,Álvaro Macedo Laureano,Maria Aparecida Lima da Silva,Andrea Wieck,Lucia Mariano da Rocha Silla +7 more
TL;DR: The mechanisms underlying mesenchymal stem cell therapy for acute graft-versus-host disease are reported, particularly with respect to immunomodulation, migration, and homing, as well as report clinical applications described in the literature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reduced regulatory T cells are associated with higher levels of Th1/TH17 cytokines and activated MAPK in type 1 bipolar disorder.
Carine Hartmann do Prado,Lucas B. Rizzo,Andrea Wieck,Rodrigo Pestana Lopes,Antônio Lúcio Teixeira,Rodrigo Grassi-Oliveira,Moisés Evandro Bauer,Moisés Evandro Bauer +7 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that multiple molecular and cellular mechanisms may contribute to the immunologic imbalance observed in BD, and concur to an early senescence process in these patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evidence for a neuroinflammatory mechanism in delayed effects of early life adversity in rats: relationship to cortical NMDA receptor expression.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that central IL-10 administration during pre-adolescence protects maternally separated animals from parvalbumin loss in adolescence, and provides a novel interactive mechanism between inflammation and neural dysfunction that helps explain deleterious effects of early life adversity on prefrontal cortex interneurons.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interplay between neuroimmunoendocrine systems during post-traumatic stress disorder: a minireview.
Moisés Evandro Bauer,Andrea Wieck,Rodrigo Pestana Lopes,Antônio Lúcio Teixeira,Rodrigo Grassi-Oliveira +4 more
TL;DR: The complex interplay between most important cognitive, neuroendocrine and immunological changes reported in PTSD are reviewed, focusing on long-term implications of childhood maltreatment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immunosenescence is associated with human cytomegalovirus and shortened telomeres in type I bipolar disorder.
Lucas B. Rizzo,Carine Hartmann do Prado,Rodrigo Grassi-Oliveira,Rodrigo Grassi-Oliveira,Andrea Wieck,Bruna Luz Correa,Antônio Lúcio Teixeira,Moisés Evandro Bauer,Moisés Evandro Bauer +8 more
TL;DR: Compared CMV serology and its relationships with cell senescence markers, including TL and lymphocyte subsets, in patients with type I BD and healthy controls are compared.
