Journal ArticleDOI

A luminescent solar concentrator with 7.1% power conversion efficiency

TL;DR: In this paper, the power conversion efficiency of a luminescent solar concentrator (LSC) with four GaAs cells was reported. But with one GaAs cell attached to one edge only, the power efficiency was still as high as 4.6%.
Book ChapterDOI

Luminescent solar concentrators

TL;DR: In this article, a review of recent work by the Quantum Photovoltaic Group (QPV) at Imperial College London and their collaborators in the application of nanostructures to efficiently harvest light within the luminescent solar concentrator (LSC).
Journal ArticleDOI

Fabrication and spectroscopic studies on highly luminescent CdSe/CdS nanorod polymer composites.

TL;DR: Highly luminescent nanocomposites were prepared by incorporating CdSe/CdS core/shell nanorods into different polymer matrices and show high transparency of up to 93%.
