This disclosure relates generally to valves, and more particularly, to gas valve assemblies. In one example, a valve leakage test may be performed on a valve assembly including a valve body with a first valve and a second valve, where the valves may be positioned across a fluid path in the valve body with an intermediate volume between the valves. A pressure sensor may be in fluid communication with the intermediate volume and may sense a measure that is related to the pressure in the intermediate volume. The pressure sensor may communicate with a controller to determine a measure that is related to a pressure change in the intermediate volume and compare the measure that is related to a pressure change to a first and/or second threshold value. The controller may output a signal if the measure meets and/or exceeds the first and/or second threshold value.

This disclosure relates generally to valves, and more particularly, to gas valve assemblies. In one example, a valve assembly may be configured to perform a valve proving test as part of an operational cycle of a combustion appliance coupled to the valve assembly. The valve assembly may include a valve body having a fluid path, first and second valve sealing members translatable between an opened position and a closed position, and one or more pressure sensors in fluid communication with an intermediate volume of the fluid path between the first and second valve sealing members. A valve controller may be in communication with the pressure sensor and may monitor a measure related to a pressure change rate in the intermediate volume. The valve controller may then output a signal if the measure related to a pressure change rate in the intermediate volume meets and/or exceeds a threshold value.

This disclosure relates generally to valves, and more particularly, to gas valve assemblies. In one illustrative but non-limiting example, a valve assembly may include a valve body having an interior and an exterior, a valve or valve sealing member positioned in the valve body, a sensor element (e.g., a magnet and/or a ferrous core) secured relative to the valve sealing member and a sensor (e.g., a magnetic field sensor) positioned outside of the interior of the valve body. The valve sealing member may be movable between an opened position and a closed position, and the sense element may move with the valve sealing member. The sensor may be configured to detect a position of the valve sealing member and communicate that position to a valve controller.

In one example, the valve assembly may include a valve body with an inlet port, an outlet port, and a fluid path extending between the inlet and outlet ports, one or more valves situated about the fluid path, one or more valve actuators for selectively moving respective valves, one or more sensors for sensing one or more parameters within the fluid path, and a controller secured relative to the valve body and in communication with the one or more sensors for determining one or more valve assembly conditions based on the one or more sensed parameters. Illustratively, the controller may be configured to communicate information from the valve assembly to a combustion appliance controller that is located remotely from the valve assembly through a communications interface of the controller and across a communications bus.

This disclosure relates generally to valves, and more particularly, to gas valve assemblies. In one illustrative but non-limiting example, a valve assembly may include a valve body, a valve situated in a fluid path of the valve body, a valve actuator for selectively moving the valve actuator, one or more sensors in communication with the fluid path, a controller secured relative to the valve body and in communication with the sensors, and memory operatively coupled to the controller. A user interface may be in communication with the memory and the controller and may be configured to receive a selection from a user for selecting one of two or more selectable options from the memory. The controller may compare sensed parameters to threshold values associated with the selected option. The user interface may have a lock on it to prevent tampering and to provide accountability.

The method involves having an electric installation with spatially distributed electromechanical functional units (1) which are arranged on specific constructional positions. The functional units are controlled in an individual manner by a network address (7) which is stored in an electronic form via a signal transfer network from a central control unit (3). A master-slave system includes a master unit having a digital output for providing a signal or a serial signal sequence of signals, and at least two slave units. Each of the slave units includes at least one digital serial memory having a size of one bit, and each slave unit includes an input and an output. The slave units are serially connected to one another via the inputs and the outputs via a signal line ( 5 ). The output of a first slave unit is connected via the signal line to the digital output of the master unit. Dynamisch adressierbares master-slave-system sowie verfahren zum dynamischen adressieren von slave-einheiten

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Regeln einer Ventilatorgruppe zur Erzeugung eines vordefinierten Gesamtvolumenstromes vorgeschlagen, wobei die Ventilatorgruppe aus einer Vielzahl von parallel betriebenen einzelnen Ventilatoren besteht, die jeweils einen Einzelvolumenstrom erzeugen. Die Ventilatorgruppe ist in mindestens eine erste und wenigstens eine zweite Regelgruppe aufgeteilt, die jeweils mindestens einen Ventilator umfassen. Unter Einhaltung eines im Ergebnis konstanten Gesamtvolumenstromes wird der Einzelvolumenstrom des mindestens einen Ventilators der ersten Regelgruppe durch eine Regelung in einen Bereich des optimalen Wirkungsgrades durch eine Drehzahlveranderung erhoht und der Einzelvolumenstrom des mindestens einen Ventilators der zweiten Regelgruppe durch Drehzahlverringerung entsprechend reduziert. Dabei ist vorgesehen, dass jederzeit alle Ventilatoren einen Beitrag zum Gesamtvolumenstrom leisten und zu keinem Zeitpunkt eine Abschaltung eines Ventilators der zweiten Regelgruppe erfolgt. Die wenigstens eine erste Regelgruppe ist innerhalb seiner hochsten Leistungsaufnahme in sein Wirkungsgradoptimum geregelt, so dass die Energiebilanz des Gesamtsystems der Ventilatorgruppe optimiert ist.
