Journal ArticleDOI

EXTERNAL PRESSURE AND LIGHT INFLUENCE ON INTERNAL PRESSURE IN A SPIN-CROSSOVER SOLID [Zn:Fe(ptz)6](BF4)2

TL;DR: In this article, the relation between the internal pressure during spin crossover and chemical pressure induced by dilution with zinc was compared to the chemical force induced by zinc dilution, and the de-coupling of the spin-crossover and structural phase transition was discussed, where the light of a specific LIESST (Light Induced Excited Spin State Trapping) wavelength was used to induce partial stabilisation of high-spin state and thus shift temperature of spin crossover towards lower values.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the Stability of Cu5 Catalysts in Air Using Multi-Reference Perturbation Theory

TL;DR: The transition barrier for O2 activation can be interpreted as an avoided crossing between adiabatic states (neutral and ionic), which provides new insights into the charge-transfer process and gives better estimates for this hard to localize and therefore often neglected first intermediate state.
Journal ArticleDOI

A model for spectral diffusion induced by resonant energy migration applied to the 4A2→2E transition of Cr3+ in [Cr(ox)3]3- (ox=C2O42-)

TL;DR: In this paper, the ground-state zero-field splitting (ZFS) and quasi-resonant process were identified in the 3D oxalate networks and the phonon-assisted process setting in at higher temperature.
