Effect of primary illumination apodization on generating the Bessel mode vortex beams

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of primary illumination properties on partially coherent Bessel mode vortex beams was investigated, and it was shown that a wide class of such vortex beams are coherent.

Segmentation of satellite images in optoelectronic system

TL;DR: The problem of segmenting the satellite images into homogeneous texture regions that correspond to the different classes of terrestrial surface is considered and it is shown that this problem may be successfully solved by using the method of spectral synthetic discriminant functions recently proposed by the authors for classification of random image fields.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical Characterization of the Twisted Nematic Liquid Crystal Display

TL;DR: In this paper, the amplitude and phase modulation curves of twisted nematic liquid crystal display (TN-LCD) are characterized as a function of image's gray level, bright B and contrast C.
