Analysis of acoustic emission signals at austempering of steels using neural networks

TL;DR: In this paper, a large number of acoustic emissions (AE) were observed and analysed using neural networks resulting in the identification of three groups of events of: high, medium and low energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Copper Electroless Metallization of Cellulose Paper via Polydopamine Coating and Silver Catalyst.

TL;DR: In this paper, the results of copper electroless metallization of cellulose paper with the use of a polydopamine coating and a silver catalyst were presented, which showed that the polymer layer covered the entire surface of the paper sheet after 5 min of metallisation, favorably affecting the electrical properties of this material.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of the Mechanical and Biocidal Properties of Lapacho from Tabebuia Plant as a Biocomposite Material.

TL;DR: In this article, the physicochemical properties of polylactide reinforced by cortex fibers were discussed in detail, which may cause bacterial mortality and increased biodegradation rates. And the effects of Lapacho on the mechanical and biocidal properties of the biocomposites were studied using tensile and impact tests, dynamic mechanical analysis, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetry, and the method of evaluating the antibacterial activity of antibacterial treated according to the standard ISO 22196:2011.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recyclability of new polylactide based biodegradable materials with plant extracts containing natural polyphenols

TL;DR: In this article, the results of research on multiple processing of a polylactide-based polymer material containing natural anti-aging compounds were presented, and it was found that despite repeated processing, the materials containing the extracts had properties enabling proper processing and every day applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Use of Acoustic Emission and Neural Network in the Study of Phase Transformation below MS.

TL;DR: In this paper, acoustic emission and dilatometry were applied to investigate the characteristics of phase transformations in bearing steel 100CrMnSi6-4 during austempering below the martensite start temperature (MS 175 °C at 150 °C).
