Effect of streptozotocin-diabetes and insulin treatment on regulation of Leydig cell function in the rat.
Ángel Benítez,J. Pérez Díaz +1 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that decreased testicular steroidogenesis in the diabetic rat may represent, at least in part, a direct consequence of insulin deficiency at the hypothalamic and/or pituitary levels.
Journal ArticleDOI
Functional traits of epiphytic lichens in response to forest disturbance and as predictors of total richness and diversity
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated nine different traits related with photobiont type, growth form, reproductive strategy and chemistry of epiphytic lichens on the trunk bases of 240 trees in three types of forests according to a disturbance gradient (primary forests and secondary vegetation).
Journal ArticleDOI
Large trees and dense canopies: key factors for maintaining high epiphytic diversity on trunk bases (bryophytes and lichens) in tropical montane forests
Journal ArticleDOI
