Journal ArticleDOI
Catecholase activity of a copper(II) complex with a macrocyclic ligand: unraveling catalytic mechanisms.
Iryna A. Koval,Katalin Selmeczi,Catherine Belle,Christian Philouze,Eric Saint-Aman,Isabelle Gautier-Luneau,Anna M Schuitema,Marcel van Vliet,Patrick Gamez,Olivier Roubeau,Matthias Lüken,Bernt Krebs,Martin Lutz,Anthony L. Spek,Jean-Louis Pierre,Jan Reedijk +15 more
TL;DR: The structure, properties and a mechanism for the catecholase activity of a tetranuclear carbonato-bridged copper(II) cluster with the macrocyclic ligand with a carbonate anion are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
New didentate bispyrazole ligands forming uncommon eight-ring chelates with divalent copper, zinc and cobalt
TL;DR: In this paper, 1,3-bis(5′-methylpyrazol-1′-yl)propane (bpp) and 1, 3-bis (3′, 5′-dimethylpyrazal-1-yl)-propane(bdpp) have been prepared by reacting 2 equiv. of the corresponding potassium pyrazolate with 1 equiv of 1, threedibromopropane.
Journal ArticleDOI
Catecholase activity of a μ-hydroxodicopper(II) macrocyclic complex: structures, intermediates and reaction mechanism
Iryna A. Koval,Catherine Belle,Katalin Selmeczi,Christian Philouze,Eric Saint-Aman,Anna M Schuitema,Patrick Gamez,Jean-Louis Pierre,Jan Reedijk +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a 3D structure of the dicopper(II) complex is presented, which is the first 3D model of the active site of the catechol oxidase.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, magnetic properties, and crystal structure of dinuclear antiferromagnetic [Cu2(5-aminomethyl-3-methylpyrazole)2Cl4]
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis, optical and magnetic properties and the X-ray crystal structure of [Cu2(amp)2Cl4] (amp=5-aminomethyl-3-methylpyrazole), a new dinuclear chloro-bridged copper(II) compound, are described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dinuclear copper(II) complexes of four new pyrazole-containing macrocyclic ligands are active catalysts in the oxidative coupling of 2,6-dimethylphenol
Anna M Schuitema,Peter G. Aubel,Iryna A. Koval,Mireille Engelen,Willem L. Driessen,Jan Reedijk,Martin Lutz,Anthony L. Spek +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, four new macrocyclic ligands of varying ring size, [22]py4pz, [21]py2pz and [20]py3pz, containing four or two endocyclic pyrazole groups, were shown to be active catalysts in the coordination of dinuclear copper compounds.
