Melatonin Metabolite Excretion Among Cellular Telephone Users
James B. Burch,John S. Reif,Curtis W. Noonan,Travers Y. Ichinose,Annette M. Bachand,T L Koleber,Michael G. Yost +6 more
TL;DR: Prolonged use of cellular telephones may lead to reduced melatonin production, and elevated 60-Hz MF exposures may potentiate the effect.
Journal ArticleDOI
Canine lymphoproliferative disease characterized by lymphocytosis: immunophenotypic markers of prognosis
TL;DR: Investigating whether immunophenotyping provides an objective method for determining prognosis in lymphoproliferative disorders characterized by lymphocytosis found it to do so.
Journal ArticleDOI
Menstrual cycle characteristics and reproductive hormone levels in women exposed to atrazine in drinking water.
Lori A. Cragin,James S. Kesner,Annette M. Bachand,Dana B. Barr,Dana B. Barr,Juliana W. Meadows,Edward F. Krieg,John S. Reif +7 more
TL;DR: Preliminary evidence is presented that atrazine exposure, at levels below the US EPA MCL, is associated with increased menstrual cycle irregularity, longer follicular phases, and decreased levels of menstrual cycle endocrine biomarkers of infertile ovulatory cycles.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Fort Collins Commuter Study: Impact of route type and transport mode on personal exposure to multiple air pollutants
Nicholas Good,Anna Mölter,Charis Ackerson,Annette M. Bachand,Taylor Carpenter,Maggie L. Clark,Kristen M. Fedak,Ashleigh Kayne,Kirsten Koehler,Brianna F. Moore,Christian L'Orange,Casey Quinn,Viney Ugave,Amy L. Stuart,Jennifer L. Peel,John Volckens +15 more
TL;DR: Although choice of route can reduce mean exposure, the effect of route length and duration often offsets these reductions when cumulative exposure is considered, and increased ventilation rate when cycling may result in a more harmful dose than inhalation at a lower ventilation rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of a cleaner-burning cookstove intervention on blood pressure in Nicaraguan women
Maggie L. Clark,Annette M. Bachand,Judy M. Heiderscheidt,Sarah A. Yoder,Bevin Luna,John Volckens,Kirsten Koehler,Stuart Conway,Stephen J. Reynolds,Jennifer L. Peel +9 more
TL;DR: Results from this study provide an indication that certain subgroups may be more likely to experience improvements in blood pressure following a cookstove intervention.
