Effect of In-Utero Antibiotic Exposure on Childhood Outcomes: Methods and Baseline Data of the Fetal Antibiotic EXposure (FAX) Cohort Study

TL;DR: This cohort of children will provide a unique opportunity to address key questions regarding the long-term sequelae of in-utero exposure to antibiotics using real-world data and to model the trajectories of body mass index over time.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dietary Fructose Intake and Hippocampal Structure and Connectivity during Childhood

TL;DR: Increased dietary intake of fructose, measured as a percentage of total calories, was associated with both an increase in the volume of the CA2/3 subfield of the right hippocampus and increased axial, radial, and mean diffusivity in the prefrontal connections of theright cingulum.
Journal ArticleDOI

Association of weight gain and fifteen adipokines with declining beta-cell function in Mexican Americans.

TL;DR: Assessment of adiposity measures, insulin resistance, and fifteen adipokines in relationship to longitudinal change in β-cell function measured by disposition index from frequently-sampled-intravenous-glucose-tolerance testing showed that three factors were significantly and independently associated with rate of change in DI over time.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evidence for Sex-Specific Associations between Variation in Acid Phosphatase Locus 1 (ACP1) and Insulin Sensitivity in Mexican-Americans

TL;DR: It is concluded that variation in ACP1 is associated with fasting insulin and insulin sensitivity in a sex-specific manner and there were no significant associations in females.

Robust variance estimation for rate ratio parameter estimates from individually matched case‐control data

- 01 Sep 2003 -
TL;DR: This paper derived asymptotic variance and robust variance estimators of rate ratios using conditional logistic regression from individually-matched case-control data when the presumed proportional hazards model is misspecified.
