Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of cloned rabbit and mouse beta-globin genes showing strong evolutionary divergence of two homologous pairs of introns.
Johan van den Berg,Albert van Ooyen,Ned Mantei,Anton Schamböck,G.C. Grosveld,Richard A. Flavell,Charles Weissmann +6 more
TL;DR: Cloned β-globin genes of both mouse and rabbit each contain a large and a small intervening sequence (intron) of about equal length at precisely the same positions relative to the coding sequence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Specific excision of the inserted DNA segment from hybrid plasmids constructed by the poly(dA) · poly(dT) method
TL;DR: This method of cleavage provides a useful procedure for assessing the length of inserts in hybrid plasmids prepared by the poly(dA)-POLY(DT) tail method, and allows the preparative recovery of the insert.
Book ChapterDOI
THE STRUCTURE OF CLONED RABBIT AND MOUSE β-GLOBIN GENES
