Recent advances in the science and technology of ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) production
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the recent advancement on ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) production from both scientific and applied point of view, highlighting the importance of catalyst selection and hydrogen consumption issues.
Journal ArticleDOI
The control of pore size in alumina catalyst supports: A review
David L. Trimm,Antony Stanislaus +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the role of additives in regulating the size of small and large pores is discussed and methods of controlling pore size are summarised, and means of producing alumina supports with pores lying within fairly narrow limits are recommended.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coke formation on catalysts during the hydroprocessing of heavy oils
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of various factors such as feed, catalyst and process parameters on the formation of coke during hydroprocessing is reviewed and the nature of the coke is discussed in some detail and is found to depend on the relative importance of different reactions that may occur during the hydroprocessing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spent catalyst waste management: A review: Part I—Developments in hydroprocessing catalyst waste reduction and use
M. Marafi,Antony Stanislaus +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, information available in the literature on spent hydroprocessing catalyst waste reduction at source by using improved more active and more stable catalysts, regeneration, rejuvenation and reuse of deactivated catalysts in many cycles, and reusing in other processes are reviewed in detail with focus on recent developments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spent hydroprocessing catalyst management: A review: Part II. Advances in metal recovery and safe disposal methods
M. Marafi,Antony Stanislaus +1 more
TL;DR: A review on the progress in metal reclamation and disposal methods used for dealing with the environmental problem of spent hydroprocessing catalysts is presented in this paper, where the authors present a number of methods and various agents have been evaluated for these purposes.
