Chromosome studies and estimation of nuclear DNA in different varieties of Cuminum cyminum L. and Carum copticum Benth. and Hook
D. Chattopadhyay,Archana Sharma +1 more
TL;DR: The somatic chromosome number in three different varieties of Cuminum cyminum L. and two varieties of Carum copticum Benth.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modifying effect of iron on lead-induced clastogenicity in mouse bone marrow cells.
TL;DR: A decrease in the frequency of lead-induced chromosomal aberrations was observed when Fe was given together with or prior to Pb administration, and the degree of protection, if any, afforded by iron against the clastogenic effects induced by Pb in bone marrow cells was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cytological studies in certain species of Lamiaceae
Anadi Kumar Kundu,Archana Sharma +1 more
TL;DR: A monophyletic origin of the different members from a common deep seated base number has been indicated and the tree habit observed in this family has been regarded as a "sport" not contributing to any further evolutionary progress.
Journal Article
Clastogenic effects of zinc chloride on human peripheral blood leucocytes in vitro.
TL;DR: The clastogenic effects of three different concentrations of zinc chloride on human peripheral blood leucocytes were studied in vitro and significantly reduced the frequency of cell division, induced chromatid breaks and damaged cells in frequencies significantly higher than in control experiments maintained in sodium chloride and in distilled water.
