Rotation Sensing Through Semiconductor Ring Laser Gyro : Analyzed and Explained Using Photon Lifetime

TL;DR: In this paper, the importance of the role played by photon lifetime in the generation of terminal voltage across Semiconductor ring laser gyroscope (SRLG) is explained.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Semiconductor ring laser gyroscope with improved rotation sensitivity

TL;DR: In this article, a novel method of lock-in elimination using electro-optic phase modulator in semiconductor ring laser gyroscope is proposed, which helps in operating the gyro out of the lock-on band, thus improving its sensitivity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Incoherent beam combination of low order Laguerre–Gaussian beams propagating in turbulent atmosphere

TL;DR: In this paper, an incoherent beam combination of lower order Laguerre-Gaussian beams is analyzed in the presence of atmospheric turbulence, and the resultant intensity is then compared with the similarly combined Gaussian beams.

Optimization of Sensitivity and Q-Factor of Ring Resonator Based Label Free Biosensor

TL;DR: In this article , a ring resonator based biosensor was designed for cancer and hemoglobin detection and structure optimized for better sensitivity and Q factor, the sensor has the capacity to detect various cancer cells with high sensitivity of 200 nm/RIU and a Q factor of around 2000.
